If you need help with the mod for any reason, it's easier for me to help you if you were to join the Unofficial Modded Supermarket Simulator Discord Server
But please note this: If you do not LEGITIMATELY own the game through steam, you will NOT receive help.
Unfortunately that's just the nature of the mod. It checks every slot on a rack every time to find the same product that is being interacted with. Then it scans them to know how many boxes it can consolidate to, then it moves products and boxes to take up the least space possible.
So products that you have many slots for and products in smaller boxes(like salt) will do that
Enhancement request: Can we have a shortcut, please, that triggers a consolidation of all racks?
Sometimes there are mods or glitches that cause racks not to properly consolidate and instead of running around having to click X on every label and double-check them, it'd be lovely to have one short-cut that just re-triggers them all just in case there's a few of them that didn't properly consolidate.
Either I didn't implement the new interaction hints in a way that it won't break without them. (Not that, I just tested it.) Or you didn't install my mod correctly.
Hello Since version 1.2.2 the MOD no longer works correctly for me. The boxes simply no longer slide down/together. Neither for me nor for the NPCs. I deleted the cfg and had it regenerated and also set it to true again for the player but unfortunately it doesn't work. Even with today's update, which came out super quickly, there are no changes. It's a shame because I thought the MOD was really great
The way I had it set up was causing conflicts with itself in some cases. I had too much going on, it now only does it when they grab a box, not when placing. I'm currently adding it back in a more efficient way
I was hoping that I could get clarification on what exactly changed in the recent file updates. I still use 1.1.0 successfully, saw that there were updates, and couldn't quite understand what the changelog says is different. As I read it, if I place a box into a rack with multiple box slots of the same product, consolidation of all of the box slots in that rack is now optional. I believe the 3rd bullet states that I have to hold left-control in order to make all of the box slots consolidate together. If I have that right, then I don't want the update. Each stock item is on the same rack in sets of 4 slots (for 2x boxes) and 2 slots (for 6x+ boxes). The full rack consolidation is my favorite part of this mod. It sounds like it will make my gameplay more difficult and complicated with the new update. Am I right that the default is for left-control to cause full consolidation and you can't change it so that left-control is the optional non-consolidation? I would be glad to have a non-consolidation option in whole racks with an optional keybind, not the other way around.
Honestly, I thought that was the way I set it, but I just checked and realized you are right. Meant for it to work the other way. I'll get a fix out for that soon
Suggestion: Would it be possible to add a way to omit a shelf/rack from being consolidated?? I LOVE this mod, but I have a rack dedicated to overstock and when trying to self-consolidate at the end of the night, I put the finished box at the top or bottom of the rack so I know it's done but the box goes back to it's original spot on that rack (which is what the mod is meant to do) eliminating the ability to do this.
Chronic, I don't know if this will help you or not, but I have the same setup (overstock shelving) and have had similar situations happen. First, you can turn off restockers (native or mod) and place them on the floor, rip the tag at the bottom, and then place them at the top like you want so it doesn't consolidate to the bottom. Another suggestion is to use the "Rack Refill" mod by grumpythe1st to avoid overstock in the first place since it orders boxes based on your empty labeled rack spots. (Hopefully the mod creator doesn't mind me suggesting someone else's mod). I can understand if you feel it takes some of your involvement out of the process, but it's very helpful for a larger store.
should't the "consolidation" keep the box with less products to be picked first? I mean... why will I pickup a full box if there is another one with just on product inside?
keep in mind that you can switch it as he said, but if you have 7 on a shelf to stock and your smallest box has 3, you're going in and out of storage with 2 boxes instead of 1 if a full box is 12. This causes more trips and more time. If you grab a full box, don't use all of it, and then place it back on the rack, it'll sort out the remaining stock to remove that (now) empty box you would have created if you'd gone smallest first. Once you have a large store, it'll be a life saver for larger boxes first.

I would also probably need a log file to figure out what's going on.

It work now a little bit better but not the same like the older vesions
Hope you can fix it too
You can now choose how you want it to work in the config. Since some people want it either way in v1.0.2
