I can't find any other mod like this one and I'm unable to get the character edit to work, there is no button in the load character screen for me to push. Looking at the last updated time being over a year ago I'm guessing that the creator has moved on to other projects. Does anyone know how to make this work or are new characters the only way to go now?
this might be the most recent comment in a few months. i just downloaded this mod today &, as of this moment when continuing the game after editing the character, it shoots me back to Day 1 Year 1 with current inventory and NO HOUSE! when i go back to the character selection screen, the edited character is presented as a brand new save file. bummer :(
I was in the same situation once. In my case, after editing the character, I clicked "←" in the upper right without clicking "start Game", and I was able to edit the character while keeping the save data.

I'm afraid it's the same for me and I just installed this. It doesn't work to click the back arrow either. Thankfully, I've only played two nights so I can just start over with a character design I like better.
It seems if you wear any clothing while editing your character it will stick to your character permanently. If you wear any gloves you won't be able to remove them and your character will permanently wear gloves. Any fix for this?
Don't >rename< an edit the same name as an existing character, or it will erase that character! (My backup was still there though, and it wasn't a super important character so using the backup is fine)
One more thing, I edited a character, and pressed X. The changes looked like they were made. However, clothing stayed the way it was before. I loaded a different character, and upon returning the main menu, the character that was edited had returned to the way it was before I edited it and then pressed X instead of Accept.
It's likely that if you do not load that character after hitting X, it may return to the way it was before. Unsure.
They totally reworked the character/save select screen. So I reckon this guy's mod is trying to interface with code that doesn't exist anymore. Unless we get an update RIP I guess ..
I would love to get this mod working but unfortunately I can't get it to show up or to generate the config file. I have downloaded BepinEx and that folder is placed in the main folder alongside the application.exe. I created a plugins folder within the BepinEx folder and placed CharacterEdit.dll in there. Booted the game and loaded my file, closed the game and reopened it. Still no config file or edit button. Have I missed anything? xx
