It seems characters emotions got stuck because of this mod, they're not changing like at all. At first I thought it was in game bug but I reinstalled and tried without this mod and it looked just fine. Also there is a problem with a doctor's sprite because I tried everything and his portrait not changing while others completely fine (except for the emotions part). It's a shame, I really like this mod over vanilla sprites.
I had the same problem with Wornhardt's now showing up. But after I changed the the W in file name to lowercased w (and also a typo which the author misspelled as 'wormhardt'), it worked. hope this helps.
Finally got it to work, Just had to reinstall bepinex 5 and remove everything out of the customtexture folder as it was showing errors in the bepinex logs thus making the whole customtexture.dll not work. Then I extracted the folder to its own folder inside the custom texture folder and it worked. Seems like duplicates of other mods like mouth.png etc inside the custom texture folder makes it fail.
Installed the mod today and it seems to be working (only just started so I can't check all characters), but I can see BepInEx throwing up errors regarding sprites and custom textures. Is this normal or should I be concerned?
Guys for those whose files aren't working, make sure the exported file isn't in a folder. If you enter "Sun Haven/BepInEx/plugins/CustomTextures" and the mod is in a folder called "1.3-53-1-3-1701691514" or the name of the zipfile you downloaded, enter that folder and cut and paste all the pictures inside into the Custom Textures folder directly, then delete the "1.3-53-1-3-1701691514"/ name of the file folder. The portraits mod should work then, because it could be a pathing issue if your game can't detect it.

The files go in "Sun Haven/BepInEx/plugins/CustomTextures"
The main page description is missing the "CustomTextures" folder path
1. Download the "Custom Textures" Mod and install it like you would do a normal mod.
2. After installing the above mentioned mod, RUN THE GAME ONCE and let it get to the Main Menu. Then close the game.
3. Now the CustomTextures Folder will appear within the plugins folder.
4. Download this mod. When done, extract all content into the CustomTextures folder.
I don't even have a custom textures folder?? aaaaa
I redownloaded custom textures and followed the instructions,,, still nothing
OMG I DID IT
