✅ Step-by-Step Instructions:1. Locate the Extracted Save FileMake sure you’ve already extracted the file called 0.sav from whatever archive it came in (e.g., a ZIP file). You should now have a file called:
CopyEdit 0.sav 2. Find the SaveGames Folder (if mentioned)If you extracted 0.sav from a folder named SaveGames, that’s fine. Just remember where the file is. 3. Go to Your Subverse Save FolderOpen this location in File Explorer: java CopyEdit C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\ You’ll see one or more folders named with a long number — these are your Steam IDs.
Open the one that belongs to your account (you can try them if you're unsure).
Inside that folder, go into this path: CopyEdit1034140\remote
1034140 is the Steam App ID for Subverse.
4. Delete Existing Save FilesBefore you paste the new file, delete any files already in the remote folder. These are your old save files. 5. Rename 0.sav to SubverseSaveGame001Find your 0.sav file, then:
Right-click it → Rename.
Change the name to: nginxCopyEditSubverseSaveGame001
❗️ Do not include .sav at the end when renaming. It should just be SubverseSaveGame001 (with no extension showing, if your system hides known extensions).
6. Paste the Renamed FileNow copy your renamed file (SubverseSaveGame001) and paste it into this folder: java CopyEdit C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YOUR_STEAM_ID\1034140\remote 7. Done!Launch the game, and it should now load the new save.
i downloaded version 1.0, but when i delete the old save and add this save file it runs exactly like i played before. is there a way to run your save file
Found a another possible solution, you just have to copy the 0.sav file and move it to where the saves is along with the folder SubverseSaveGame001. Paste it there and I'm not sure if it works with overwriting bcs I only had one save so I renamed the 0.sav into SubverseSaveGame002 and it worked.
Need help deleting save files, I did the most obvious way by literally deleting them and yet my save is still there. Also been trying and doing all the ways in here for this save file but whenever I start the game I still get the same save file I created.
Copy the file 0.sav in the SaveGames once u have extracted it then paste it to the remote file at(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(your steam id)\1034140\remote) and rename it to SubverseSaveGame001 remember delete the .sav line. AND delete any available file in the remote document before you paste it
can somebody reupload the save file from the 1.0.1 version please?
i updated the game before getting here and getting a error loading the save and suspect that's the reason
many thanks
EDIT: Actually the issue was the file extensions ".sav" in the remote folder. enable to show file extension and delete that part and should work. thanks
Whatever you guys posted, I tried everything. Does not work. Atm I have 2 game versions installed (1.02 , this one didnt need an install, and 1.00 fitgirl, this one needed an install). The save file does not get read by any of those versions, neither 1.00 and neither 1.02. The wierd thing is, I have my regular progress in 1.02, but realised that the outfits are bugged as hell and cannot be seen or selected, even after I should've unlocked them. The 1.00 version does not even see that save file, which the 1.02 does and I can play on it. And anything I do, the 1.00 does not see any save and just makes me start a new game
thanks for the details first of all, but i tried them and a prompt always pops up saying "The UE4-Subverse Game has crashed and will close" LowLevelFatalError etc....
i really dont know what's going on. i've loaded previous saved files before the 1. release and now it seems like i cant after the 1.
I keep getting a Save File loading error. I can copy the 0.sav into the 1034140 folder, but when I load into the game, it gives me the same error when I try to load in.
I disabled cloud saves, as when it's enabled, a new one just pops up in the folder and starts me over from scratch.

The folder needs to have a file called SubverseSaveGame001.sav which is not included in this download.
I grabbed Subverse\Saved\SaveGames\SubverseSaveGame001\0.sav and put it in Subverse\Saved\SaveGames\ and then renamed it to SubverseSaveGame001.sav
I was using GOG and had to make sure cloud saves were off as it reverted everything on the launch of the game.
Once I had done that this save file loaded.
"The UE4-Subverse Game has crashed and will close"
LowLevelFatalError etc....
