To get it to work 1. Hit F5 key to bring up Configuaration Manager 2. Select Snapbuilder > Uncheck Enable snapping by default 3. Make sure in Mod BuildingTweaks options the Toggle Keys have keys T & G or change to desired keys ... etc. 4. Use the Fab tool select the curtain you want and place where you want it ... etc. 5. Press and hold the T key if it shows up false press the T again it will go True 6. Press the G Key if it shows up false press it again it will show up True 7. Materialize the curtain ... they can be place anywhere you wish now.

HOWEVER becareful if you want to remove the curtains make sure it says curtains ... or you can remove the structure for some odd reason ... to prevent that from happening simply toggle T & G to both be false. Now that part is awsome if you want to remove a structure you don't have to remove eveything in them they will all be removed. Cool! Does not need to be fixed!!!
I finally manage to do it: You indeed need the mod "Building Tweaks BZ", and activate the option "Attach as target override" (press the dedicated key when building, key in the mod options). Maybe you could mention in the description that this mod is required for some of the items to work ?

The solution to the problem was to delete buildtweaks, because this made every item in the game unplaceable. However, none of the items in this mod can be placed outside and the curtains are placed horizontally without it. When I had BuildTweaks Installed, all the items from this mod displayed as green, but would just make a noise when trying to place, even when the override was active. Basically without build tweaks half the mod doesn't work but with it base building is impossible.
In the Subnautica modding server and the test mod builds channel you can find a big drop of below zero stuff to test. Building tweaks BZ is a part of it

Known problems
Blinds and curtains can only built on windows with build tweaks and that's the solution for that until I can find an actual solution.

Are you using a specific mod to place the curtains ?
I can't build any of them, whatever I do, the blueprints stay red around the glass windows.
I thought at first that it comes from SnapBuild, but I just retried without it, it still doesn't work.
Any tip ?
