    For screenshots only.

This looks amazing and thank you to the author, bobbyturtle, kudos to you, I am not trying to be ungrateful, I appreciate you taking the time to make this shader. However, I do feel it should be stated in the description that this is for screenshots only or at least list everything that is enabled and the expected Gigantic FPS drop, this is not for normal gameplay unless you enjoy 10-30fps and stuttering.

For example, running at 2160p (4k) resolution, in-game graphics settings on high (max), and running on an overclocked RTX 4080 I dropped from a solid 120fps to 50fps with drops as low as 20fps. For normal gameplay, I would categorise this as barely playable on a very high-end system.
There are so many things enabled like Global Illumination and MXAO, multiple layers of the same filter... all of these make the game look fantastic but a lot of it can be disabled and you would struggle to tell any difference during normal gameplay.

Install it to take some amazing screenshots and then enable a much lighter shader for your gameplay.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on my shader. But you should not be experiencing 10-30fps with this shader with an overclocked 4080. When I made this shader, I was using a GTX 1060 6GB and getting a steady 60fps at 1080p. There should also not be any shaders that are 2 of a kind. If you have multiple of the same shader I would recommend turning one off making it so there is only one.
I think where you went wrong and it is my fault for not stating it, if you press the "P" key on your keyboard it enables a feature inside of the RTGI shader that allows it to accumulate light rays over time for still screenshots. That is why in my screenshots for the shader you notice that I have very low fps with the shader turned on. If you press the "P" key a second time it will disable this feature and you will have steady FPS again.
If you are still experiencing low FPS with the shader enabled there is one more thing you could try. If you go into the settings of the RTGI shader, and then scroll down to preprocessor definitions, there will be a setting named HELFRES_INPUT. If you change the 0 next to that to a 1 it should give you better performance with no visual loss.

No, you must have reshade installed for it to work

Sometime it's looking cool on the image but... the FPS cost is insane and make the game unplayable.
And, from my opinion, even if some light change are looking cool, they aren't "real", sometime there is a light source around, but sometime, like the 4th example, it's like if there was something who doesn't let the light pass, I know this place and there is nothing above.
There is a lot of place who feel very weird because the ambient light added by Devs are amplify and more radiant.

If that just for the visual, what I said is pointless, it's just a matter of taste.
But I don't think that "realism" is a good choice of word for this :/
It still look nice with some cinematic shape, this part is true.

in the last picture you had 17 fps....
im suffering for you (i cant play at 100 fps normally because i see lag spikes)
how did you manage not to throw your pc out of the window?
anyways, nice mod, the game feels more alive now

So I went to tweak the bloom and hit default but it not only did it not go back to the original value, it screwed up all the other values so now everything is blinding. Can you post the original values or should I just uninstall and reinstall?

sorry for the late response but if you haven't figured it out yet I'm pretty sure if you replace the Cinemeatic_Realism.ini file with the default one it should fix it. but if that doesn't work I would just reinstall it.

      Cinemeatic_Realism.ini file : link

hmm... I'm not sure why that would be happening. did you make sure that you put the reshade-shaders folder in with the same folder as the Subnautica.exe. If that's not the problem then the shaders that I have selected are:

qUINT bloom, Levels, Clarity, ColorLab, Curves, qUINT MXAO, RTGlobalillumination, MagicHDR, Vibrance, prod80_0b_RT_Correct_Color, DELC_Sharpen.

If the preset Isn't selecting the Shaders I would make sure that they have the correct settings on them.
