Firstly, thank you for the mod, it's exactly what I wanted, but It seems I have a problem. I installed your mod yesterday and it worked perfectly but today it stopped working. I didn't do anything unusual other than exiting game and turning off/on computer. Do you maybe have any clue to what's causing this?
    Thank you.

      A few thoughts:

      • Firstly, typing the letter "L' on your keyboard will toggle the blips on/off. You may have typed that key without realizing it and toggled the blips off.
      • Another possibility may be that the game's default behavior when loading a saved game is to NOT start the scanner room in scanning mode, even if it was scanning when you saved. Perhaps you need to start scanning again (and wait a few minutes for the scan to take effect).
      • If you're outside the range of the scanner, the blips won't show up.
      • If you've changed any of the values in mod.json, try restoring them to original to see if that restores functionality.
      • Last, double check your mod installation. Make sure the files from the archive are in the correct place on your hard drive. Maybe some other process moved/modified them?

Just to clearify, I install this in the Qmods folder if installing manually, Correct?
i was looking to see if this was mentioned in the mod description but didn't see it so I wanted to ask here to seek information just in case it was installed differently; I apologize in advance if the question seems redundant x.x

Now I can see why it does not work. For Below Zero it's Qmods, not Bepinex, right?
Can't find anything about requirements in description.

EDIT: Yes, it's Qmods, not Bepinex.

For anyone who uses more recent versions of the game/bepinex (not entirely sure when the issue starts to occur):

If you get an error saying something like "Could not load file or assembly 0Harmony12" while qmodmanager tries to load the mod, you just need to download the 0Harmony12 binary (in my version of bepinex only 0Harmony20 is included) and place it in the \BepInEx\core directory. I got the binary from BepInEx' HarmonyInteropDlls repo on github, you can download it here: 0Harmony12.dll

The mod is working fine for me after this change.

Hope I could help someone with this post :)

    I found it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ARE THE GOD OF MODDERS.

It's just amazing how stupid the person who made the default interface was. I don't think he ever used the scanning room. A million circles on the screen, all the same size, this sh*t drove me crazy.

Something is wrong, if I do a scan, it found a old location of harvested resources. How to fix it, please?

Mod is working fine but how do you change the color of the blips?

To change the configuration, edit the included `mod.json` file.

Not working. Dropped the folder BetterScannerBlipsBZ inside the QMods folder and the mod doesn't load.

Thank you so much for the mod! One problem seems to be that using scanner room's camera drones, the blips/circles don't seem to update with the camera position, using the player model instead, so in my case they remain super small no matter how close I am

Thanks for reporting your experience. I have just released version 1.1.0 which addresses this concern and adds a couple of other changes.

This doesn't work for me. No mod settings show up in game, nor does the config file appear in the mod's folder after running the game. On top of that, it sometimes breaks the scanning completely and no resources show up anymore.

The settings are in the mod.json file included in the download.
If you're not seeing scanner blips, it may be the default MinAlpha setting is not to your liking.

Oh, I see. Didn't think about checking the mod.json file. Thanks.
Is there any way to make the settings sliders appear in game too?

EDIT: I swear to god, unless I'm imagining things, I think the first time I used the mod the sliders showed up in game too, but not anymore. Weird.
