This is still happening. Just started a new play through of Below Zero and made a wall storage for each item so I don't have to deal with it just duping only the item that is more abundant in the container. I had been playing for several hours and had almost all my storages at about half full. But I hit a weird bug and reloaded my game, and now I only have a few of each item. Some storages were even empty even though I put at least 2-3 of each item in every storage container. I seems that all mod authors for both Subnautica games have given up updating their mods since the games aren't being updated anymore. It's a bit frustrating but at least most mods are working at the moment.
Here's the trick I discovered. In order to prevent the extra items from dissappearing you have to pick them up to your inventory, then you can put them in again and they will be secured. My interpretation is that the interest items created in the container are "ethereal" to the game until you pick them up. When picked up the game says "Oh, the player picked up a Titanium, let's make it official". You don't need to empty the container, just grab the nº of items created and put them back in.
I discovered this because I use the mod "Visible Locker Interior". Turns out this mod only showed what I put manually in, not the items popping into existence inside. So if I had 15 titanium, the modded container only showed the 10 units I started with. Grabbed and stored the 5 generated units, and then it showed all units. And they stayed in the next load!
@lukevo I love this mod, though I would ask that there was an auto collect option. As i have about 100 storage containers (not including vehicles) Also if you have bases streched across the map it would make it easier for resources

ive a problem on download it tell me its dangerous perhaps u need to verify ur file or something cause i always pass through Nexus mod and only few mods tel me that and this is not a problem from my Malware/ anti-virus
Dont worry, its just an OS defence thing I have done several virus, trojan and malware scans on it with AVG, AdAware and ZoneAlarm and it came back completely clear.
Hi, I really like this mod, but if i may, i would ask that you please add a feature that lets the player choose how many extra materials to get. I would greatly appreciate it.
