this isnt really a mod, its just adding the pictures of the databank entries to the screenshot folder, a better version would make the game automatically add them to a new save on generation
Anyone using Epic Games version of Subnautica, replace steaps 2 & 3 with navigating to this location: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Unknown Worlds\Subnautica\Subnautica\SavedGames
Ok, I downloaded this zip file containing JPG images, how do I install this to the game? Absolutely no instructions for this. Where do I put the JPG files???
I wonder if there's a way to write this mod as a proper QMods-compatible DLL? It would have to initially retrieve ALL unlocked databank entries and save them as screenshots then, for each entry you subsequently unlock, save IT as a screenshot. That way, you'd eventually have EVERY databank entry available for use on screens.
Unknown Worlds should really implement a way to DIRECTLY upload any PDA data entry to a screen. We could then kit out base sections as Research Labs and roleplay that we're figuring out HOW to survive and thrive instead of just fumbling around. The Aurora DOES have Sci-Vessel printed on its side on the game's loading screen, so it makes sense that the survivor is a qualified scientist with an interest in the alien world he finds himself marooned on. It would certainly give us a reason to scan everything we encounter, increasing the immersion by a large factor.
Not sure if this mod is still being updated but would love to also have the flora and some of the other data entries at some point if you do work on this more. I love the mod so far and have had a lot of fun putting critter pics all around my base!
