Hey just wanted to say HUGE thank you for your incredibly creative and talented work you've done on this mod. I'm loving it so far! It works great and makes a second playthrough much more fun early on, and even when I get the Cyclops I think I'll still be using the Odessey for a lot of things.
I have just one point of feedback/question. I noticed the cameras don't work quite the same way the Cyclops' do, I'm not sure if they turn the entire vehicle when turning them or if they just feel a little bit different to use, but I think if they worked a little bit closer to how the Cyclops' work, that'd be great! I think the main thing is that the vehicle isn't visible when using them so it can be kind of hard to orient myself as to where the front and back of the sub are when using the cameras.
Fantastic work as it is though, I'm thoroughly impressed and enjoying the mod!
Would it be possible to make the Odyssey a bit more durable? In my current game it takes way too much damage and I've lost a few subs e.g. when colliding with !spadefish! and other small fish. Sometimes it loses a chunk of health (25% or more) without an impact sound or notification, so I don't even know what I've hit.
Maybe something similar to the Cyclops proximity warning system would be nice?
Edit: a torpedo and grabbing arm for Odyssey/all VF vehicles would be nice. Especially the grabbing one :)
Last (and really minor in terms of priority or relevance) request: a slightly larger model would be nice. When placing standard subnautica lockers inside, they clip through the hull.
Great vessel btw, I love everything about it (except losing it so spadefish :( )
Appreciate this awesome sub, it is fantastic. I prefer it over the Seamoth in every way except two: I can't seem to dock it with the Cyclops or Beluga, nor can I use Magnet Boots from VF on it. I so badly want to keep using it through late/end game so I need a way to take it along with my large subs. Is there anything I'm missing/overlooking?
That's a bummer, was hoping there was an easy fix to make the Magnet Boots work. There is actually enough wall space in the Odyssey that I was able to build a medical kit fabricator as well as 4 of the wall planters and put marble melon seeds in them. So if I understand you correctly, Better Vehicle Storage works with the Odyssey?
Yes, it does! The biggest container has 80 slots, so that's a huge increase over what you can normally get with the Odyssey's expansion slots. And with Better Vehicle Storage, you can open those containers while piloting too.
The Odyssey must be level for you to stand up again. You can double tap the exit button and it will automatically level out. There should be a relevant PDA notification about that.
really appreciating your work to bring new vehicles into Subnautica!
So I was testing a little bit and it seems, the Odyssey is still losing Batteries. It seems quite random (no Moonpool tested) after reload and when not used for a while.
Haven't put it in bug report since it was already discussed several times and not really clear in my case if there is a mod conflict or anything else causing it.
Just a heads up and will report back if I find something
I've had one or two reports like this. Someone mentioned maybe it was a conflict with Vanilla Expanded. The current version of that mod breaks several other things, so it doesn't play nicely with Vehicle Framework.
I try to update VF every Sunday, but I bit off more than I could chew last week. I'm going to make a bigger update this coming Sunday, so sorry to make you wait for that fix! I want to be sure I've tested thoroughly so I don't create any more problems 😄
The Odyssey will only save four batteries, and there are four on the inside and 1 on the outside! So for now, don't add a fourth battery to the inside, and everything should be okay. Or you can remove the autopilot battery and keep using four inside. Weird problem, sorry about that!
Hi, so I just tried installing this mod, but it won't work for me. When I boot up the game, I get a message that says I need the Vehicle Framework Mod 1.8.9 or higher. The problem is, 1.8.8 seems to be the most recent version of the Vehicle Framework mod on Nexusmods, so I'm stuck!
Edit: Hey, so I just installed version 1.6.4 of the Odessey mod instead of the latest 1.6.5, and that one is working now!
I'm not certain what you mean by "the drawing," but it sounds like something went wrong with installation. I'm afraid I can't tell what's wrong given the information I have. Double-check that your game, the BepInEx pack, Nautilus, and Vehicle Framework are up to date. Make sure you're using a valid copy of the game- otherwise Nautilus won't work.

Unfortunately, no, you've got it right. It's too big to be docked, and it can't use the magnet boots either.
If it's a question of depth, you can try the void depth upgrade.
If it's a question of storage, you can use the Better Vehicle Storage upgrades.
If it's a question of food and water, I'm afraid I don't have anything to recommend 😄

If that's not the problem, please let me know!
