The mod's main description could get a facelift, though. It still mention putting the mod into qmods folder, which might be confusing for people stopping at mod description, not reading comments here.
I did notice this, but didn't think it was a big enough difference to normal gameplay for me to spend the time to make it as it is in normal hardcore mode. I could change that so it only allows save & quit if you/someone felt it was a big enough deal.
I feel like the temptation to just alt+f4 when I know I'm going to die would be too great, if you're still willing to work on this it'd complete the mod.
C'mon, if you can't restrain yuorself from alt + F4, you shouldn't be playing hardcore. BTW, in vanilla it is still possible to save by getting into main menu, returning to game, and alt + F4 when dying.
The only change by allowing to trigger save at own leisure, is less irritation when game crashes/power goes down after hour of gameplay - game STILL deletes the save on dying (if player is not save scumming, which they can do either way, if they like to cheat self)
