This preset appears to not be rendering properly. Maybe its an issue on my end but when i load the game, the colors are all wrong. I made sure to load in from the .ini file as well, no manual config on my part.

what setting can i change to make the whites in game not become a flashbang anytime light hits them?
  3. Hello, this is a great shader for me. Other shaders seemed unnecessarily too dark or too light, but this one is sharp and in harmony with the beauty of the original without such concerns.

It would be a shame for you not to experience this shader because you find the setup too difficult, so we will leave the steps below in an easy-to-understand manner.

    1.Download and unzip this shader.
2.Put the ini file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steamapps\steamapps\common\Subnautica
    3.Download Reshade.
4.After launching the installer, select "Subnautica" on the game selection screen.
    5.Select "Direct X 10, 11, 12" for API.
6.Many check boxes will appear, but for now, check all of them and click the "Next" button. (I don't know what's right, but checking all the boxes won't break the game, probably.)
7.Wait a while and when the installation is complete, start Subnautica.
8.Once the Start screen is activated, press the Home key on the keyboard.
9.The Reshade tutorial screen will appear. Follow the instructions and when you see "ReshadePreset" at the top of the screen, click on it and select the ini file you just put in your game file.
10.The shaders will have been applied and the graphics will have changed.

Sorry to bother you but im clueless on modding and stuff. How do I select my reshade preset in game and is there any specific area I need to put the shaders. Thanks

this reshade is the one! vibrant, crisp, it doesn't wash out the colors, and its not impossibly dark. no noticeable fps drop either. makes the bioluminescence really pop, thank you :-)

When installing ReShade_Setup_4.6.1.exe for Subnautica, in the final settings window, it is possible to specify the path to preset. After that, everything works without having to go to HOME.
