Whenever I close the game my texture settings reset. Is there a way to prevent it from happening?

This does not happen on my end so do you have any other mods installed that might be changing the texture quality? You can send me a dm with the contents of your player.log file after starting and closing the game and I might be able to figure out what is happening.

Seems to work so far, just the "CPU Cores Adjustment" setting under "Options > General" isn't saved. For me, it always resets to 3 from 4 after exiting the game. I see the "cores * 2 - 1)" part in the "SetAffinity" method, so maybe it's intended? :D No other settings seem to reset, also not vanilla ones to let you know, everything cool.

You wanna add Shader.globalMaximumLOD setting? It should help integrated GPUs

I implemented it to test it and didn't see any performance improvement at all. There are very few shaders that are affected by the setting so maybe it has something to do with the way the shaders are written. I only saw changes in some barnacles and the stalactites in the mushroom caves. There may be others but probably not enough to have a performance impact.

May want to change the hyperlink for BepInEx (in the installation section) to lead to the Subnautica BepInEx Pack rather than the normal BepInEx

Did I understand it correctly that you have only the options for max 4 cpu cores?

I tried this mod on the steam deck and it does work, but there are many issues.  With the mod I am able to achieve 35-40fps pretty stable on mid/high settings with native resolution (changed the water quality, everything else is set to high).  I downloaded this mod to shoot for a stable 60fps and it ruined my fps.  With default settings in this mod my fps would jump from 60fps all the way down to 23fps.  If I stay still the fps is great, stable lock at 60fps, but when i move the camera around or if I swim around, my fps tanks only while moving (major stuttering).  It would go back up if I stay still.  I turned a bunch of the settings down to troubleshoot but it didn't change anything.  This mod would be amazing if I could get stable 60 on the steam deck.  40 is playable but my desktop is stable 120hz/120fps so going back to 40hz/40fps on the steam deck is jarring.  This does work great on my desktop though so thanks for the great work.

Haven't installed, highly interested as a steamdeck player.

Was it reverse-able by uninstalling? Someone let us know if there are better configs for steamdeck or an update that addressees this. Playing @ sub 40fps on low settings sucks.

Do you mean uninstalling the mod fixed my performance back to vanilla?  If so then yes, I safely removed the mod and play 40fps@40hz with mid settings.  Cryobyte's utility helped my fps stabilize alot with the same stock settings so maybe try that? Also set the VRAM to 4gb (from 1gb) in the steam deck bios.  That setting helps for alot of games

Have you tried disabling the affinity tweak?  Or enabling it if it is disabled?  Or messing with SMT settings in powertools?

the requirements for this mod still say Qmod 4
Isn't this updated and compatible with BepInEx now?

ps, seems to work fine... so far.... lol, only at main menu.
    Thanks for this mod!
If management through vortex is possible, would be appreciated!

Thanks for letting me know about the incorrect requirements. Updated. Not sure about Vortex since I never used it but I can look into it when I have some time.
