Does this mod allow you to increase the render distance? It's been bothering me how objects keep appearing out of nowhere, and I heard you could use this mod to actually make the game render more stuff if you wanted to. Comments seemed to suggest otherwise here, so some clarification would be greatly appreciated. Also, is the mod compatible with the latest update? Saw that it was only updated in Feburary of last year (which might not conflict since the latest one was for Nintendo?).
From my experience doesn't really help with pop-in. If anything it might make it more noticeable if your settings are dialed all the way. If you have a powerful enough rig or can take a big performance hit you can look into editing your clipmaps-high.json to reduce pop-in, but I wouldn't get your hopes too too high about that solution
Install Vortex Go to the BePinEx page and download the file. After opening Vortex and selecting subnautica as your game. (it might ask where it is stored on your hard drive"\ Select Mods on the side menu Drag and drop the BePinEx file into the bottom of the mod menu. Where it says drop files. Once it finishes downloading you will see it in your mod list. Select the mod and active it, deploy Then launch your game within vortex in the top corner.
Now your playing with the mod installer. When you want to install more mods just drag and drop into Vortex the same way.
Just letting it be known that when you use this mod, it greatly shortens your render distance for performance. However this means that because your rendered distance is shorter, your base's scanner room will only pick up things that are rendered. You range will be way shorter depending on your settings. That being said, it does its job quite well otherwise as a mod.
I'm going back to v.61056, Sept 2018, so I can once again play with the unique terrain and contour of the bottom of the crater at ~3000 m, BUT...Performance Booster v1.03 apparently doesn't work with such an earlier version of the game.
So, can anyone tell me the manual console command codes to adjust the:
Underwater Range Surface Range HD Distance Texture Quality Shadow Distance Main Shadow Resolution Near Shadow Resolution CPU Core usage adjustment
This usually happens if you are running a pirated copy of the game. If you are NOT running a pirated version, send the contents of your player.log file as a private message so I can check what might be causing it.
