Hi! Thanks for the mod, it works great. And thanks for the GitHub link too. :) I modified it with a custom order that takes into account the situation of each pod. Recorded before crash (immediate broadcast) : 1. Lifepod 13 - Jochi Khasar Soon after crash (previously recorded while unconscious) : 2. Lifepod 17 - Ozzy from the cafeteria 3. Lifepod 19 - Officer Keen Rendez-vous (previously recorded) 4. Lifepod 6 - Passenger onboard 5. Lifepod 3 - Emergency seaglide Late signals (not pre-recorded) 6. Lifepod 12 - Sunk beyond safe 7. Lifepod 4 - Radiation protection 8. Lifepod 7 - Fabricator's bust 9. Lifepod 2 - CTO Yu 500mLifepod 12 - Sunk beyond safe

Hi, I have uploaded my modification with custom order here. I would like to give back full credits and redirect donation points/endorsements to you, so tell me if I can send it over or add it to the original mod.
Thanks, I was hoping to find something like this. I found the Degasi island and deduced that both they and we were shot down before triggering the Sunbeam’s countdown, and it irritates me that while you can build a small city out of hab blocks, you can build beacons which clearly act as transmitters, you can build as many radios as you like to *receive* messages, for some unfathomable reason you’re given no option to use one to warn the Sunbeam to stay away.
I reloaded the save after the countdown timer started. Got a fairly good idea what’ll happen to them if I don’t, so I just have never touched a radio again. I’m still in my first playthrough and I’m trying to figure out what to do to shut the gun down (I assume that huge building has something to do with it), but I get the sense that I’ll miss most of the story if I persist in this course. Hell, it might not even be possible to learn what to do without hearing every message. I just don’t want to get them killed.
If you shut off the gun before the Sunbeam thing they say they can't land due to massive debris field in orbit. The developers made the game so you MUST build an escape rocket yourself.
Thank you so much. I won't be using the mod, but you have no idea how hard it was to try to find a list of the goal radio commands. I'm using nitrox and some of the events won't start, so I'm feeding the commands to my friend as we play.
well the point is that not every crew member sent their messages at the same time. if you were unconscious it's fair to say they were too, or at least some were since their lifepods were in worst shape than yours which is almost intact. plus with some of them bickering, having existential crisis and/or assessing their situations for survival having dropped down in inhospitable locations, it's reasonable to get their messages later.
This is weird,... The radio was apparently repaired along with the lifepod... as soon as I repaired the lifepod, the radio started blinking for a message alert. It was the very first Aurora message, and then... nothing. It wasn't until I scanned a blueprint that I had an alert for another message... Lifepod 3. - It's acting like the vanilla version, even though I'm using 1.2 with the latest Unity update.
I'm curious, did you test the mod with the new update or did you just update the mod? - I don't mean that in an accusing way at all.... I'm just wondering if the big little update changed the way this functions. It seems as though the radio is repaired along with the lifepod. If so, it would make sense as to why it didn't work for me. I absolutely love this mod for the exact same reasons you made it - I really hope it can be fixed, although I'm kinda bummed it won't work for my playthrough now. Any idea on how I can convince the game that the radio is broken??
I am using the latest version of Subnautica and still have to repair the pod and the radio separately. My current content BuildID on Steam says 4481813.
Can you start a new game and see if the repair issue is replicable? The fastest way to check, if you are comfortable using the console, is to start a fresh game and use the console command "spawn welder" (without the quotes) to spawn a repair tool so you can immediately repair the pod.
PS: As a workaround to play the radio messages in your current game, you can use the console; I have all the commands on the description page of this mod.
I'm not sure what my build ID is because it is no longer appearing in the top right corner of the front menu screen. I do know that it's the December 11th update, for what that's worth.
So I started a new game, and there's some bad ju ju happening with this game ever since the Big Little Update. My character, with a brand new, fresh start, was wearing BOTH the radiation suit and the reinforced dive suit simultaneously, with each one clipping the other in different places on his body. He was also wearing the dive mask immediately when starting the crash sequence. Anyways, I spawned in the repair tool, and this time I fixed the radio first, and the mod worked fine. Although the time gap in-between messages is a lot longer than I remember from before.
I started a second new game to see if repairing the lifepod FIRST would replicate the issue. But the radio was still broken and the mod worked normally.
So I guess it was a fluke that in my main playthrough the radio repaired itself, but I was able to work around it by using the console to play all of the lifepod messages as you suggested. Anyways,... I'm glad it's working. But yeah... I feel like there are a lot of unstable/unpredictable things with the Big Little Update.
Anyways, nice mod, and thanks for making it. I completely agree that the lifepod messages should've played this way from the beginning!
I am really glad you like the mod, I thought I couldn't be the only person who wanted this! I would guess you have something outdated somewhere, a mod conflict, or an issue with your game files. Basic troubleshooting: 1) Make a backup of your QMods folder, then test the game without mods. If you still have issues, verify the files on Steam. If you still have issues, reinstall. 2) Once the game works fine unmodded, download and install the latest QMods. Add mods one at a time and test to see if you can find out what mod or combo of mods is causing you issues.
A faster option: There is also a Subnautica modding discord: https://discord.gg/UpWuWwq In the mod support channel, you can get support from a lot of modders. There is also a quick support bot that can help you diagnose a lot of issues, just type "!log" (without the quotes) to invoke the bot which will provide you with instructions on how to find and upload your game log. the bot will check your log for known issues. If the bot is no help, someone there most likely will know what's going on and be able to help anyway.
You can also check your buildID on Steam by right-clicking Subnautica -> Properties -> Local Files (it's down at the bottom left of the Local Files tab)
It shouldn't! It should only play the messages from the other lifepods very shortly after you repair the radio. Please let me know if it seems to be affecting Sunbeam messages. The Sunbeam messages are on timers, if you wanted to play any of them, you can use the console commands I listed in the mod description. The last one starts the countdown clock.

still, always good to have options.
