The concept is awesome and the ability to sleep to skip to day or to charge batteries is really cool, but the visual effects are way too much. Like the flashing different color lights that block out the whole screen whenever you are tired makes it unplayable. The vision becoming darker underwater isnt too bad, but your vision getting a flashing LSD trip when you are in a vehicle/in your base/on land when you are tired makes it really hard to do anything and I died so many times because the entire screen is blocked out. Good mod overall though, good work
First off, I love the idea of this mod and most of what it does, but not all, and the downsides are enough that it's been difficult for me to use.
The lack of any real exhaustion alert. Yeah, you can look at your feet.... if you're somewhere that you can sleep. But if I'm travelling in the Seamoth or have been swimming awhile, my first clue is often "Get out of the water and be moving like a sloth." Even just a beep with unvoiced subtitle saying "You should sleep in X hours" would be tremendously helpful.
The inability to sprint is, I think, too punishing. The blurry vision and increasingly sluggish controls, I think, are already great simulators. I think it's a problem to go from "I should sleep in one hour, but I can sprint! Oops, the hour (72 seconds real time) is up, I'm now moving like a snail." I can still run when I'm blurry-eyed IRL (even if it's not necessarily a good idea), and I think it would be good to still be able to sprint for awhile longer after reaching the "exhausted" state (or perhaps something where you can only sprint for a few seconds at a time) or at least an option for toggling it. The above suggested exhaustion alert would do a lot to mitigate this issue as well.
Those are the main things. There are other things I'd like (being able to sleep in the lifepod seat would be awesome, but I suspect that's a programming nightmare, so I'd only really want to see if it wasn't difficult to implement), but the above are the actual "problems" I have with the mod that you haven't already addressed (other than timing being a slight issue with the short day/night cycle, but that's an issue with the game itself, not your mod). The blurry vision and sluggish controls are great ways of simulating exhaustion, and sleep was the one survival gameplay element the game didn't have, so a mod like this to add it in a cool way is awesome. Thank you for your work on this mod, and for your responsiveness to all the other comments I've seen.
could you make it so the sleep affects turn off in creative mode? and a toggle of how long you have till you get the tired affect again and unlock the basic bed recipe on game start?
This request might be a little harder/annoying to code, but is there any chance you could add some affects of consuming coffee? so it makes you get tired faster and if already tired makes you progress to next tired stage and adds additional hours needed for rest, but lets you sprint again for a time and maybe even gives a small movement speed boost?
I use CustomCraft3 and AlterraWays so it would be amazing if these modders could also add support for this mod too!
Anyway thank you again and no worries if my request is too complicated/expensive. Your mod is already fantastic and tbh better than many others I've tried for other games! Its so hard to strike that balance between annoying and engagement when it comes to survival/immersion mechanics and I think by keeping your mod aligned with convenience, you really nailed it!!

(like below zero added a temperature gauge)

Now you can sprint when tired but your acceleration is not instant.
Could you add an option that you get affected by each debuffs in the configurable time like below?
Config.cfg
Blurry vision = 18
Slow move = 24
less responsive action = 32
Limitation of sprint = 48
Slow turn = 48
and a toggle of how long you have till you get the tired affect again
and unlock the basic bed recipe on game start?
{
"NS_too_hungry_to_sleep": "Vous avez trop faim pour dormir",
"NS_too_thirsty_to_sleep": "Vous avez trop soif pour dormir",
"NS_tired": "Vous êtes fatigué. Vous devriez dormir",
"NS_hours_till_tired": "Vous serez fatiguez dans ",
}
Is it possible to change the button for sleeping? sometimes i accidentally fall asleep on ladders.....
