None of your mods work in the current stable release of the game using Qmod 4.0.2.1. I always get this error: Edit: Using the newest version of Qmod (4.3.0) works. This doesn't solve my issue, but it might help someone else.
[QModManager:ERROR] Invoking the specified entry method "Patch" failed for mod "AnisotropicFix" [QModManager:ERROR] System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.MissingMethodException: System.Reflection.MethodInfo HarmonyLib.Harmony.Patch(System.Reflection.MethodBase,HarmonyLib.HarmonyMethod,HarmonyLib.HarmonyMethod,HarmonyLib.HarmonyMethod,HarmonyLib.HarmonyMethod) at (wrapper managed-to-native) System.Reflection.MonoMethod.InternalInvoke(System.Reflection.MonoMethod,object,object[],System.Exception&) at System.Reflection.MonoMethod.Invoke (System.Object obj, System.Reflection.BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00032] in <567df3e0919241ba98db88bec4c6696f>:0 --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Reflection.MonoMethod.Invoke (System.Object obj, System.Reflection.BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00048] in <567df3e0919241ba98db88bec4c6696f>:0 at System.Reflection.MethodBase.Invoke (System.Object obj, System.Object[] parameters) [0x00000] in <567df3e0919241ba98db88bec4c6696f>:0
Regarding AMD cards, if you hover the mouse over the question mark next to the Anisotropic Filtering option in the Radeon software, you'll note that the tooltip states that the Radeon AF solution is for DX9 only. So if you want AF in Subnautica, you'll need this mod.
Any chance of adding "install with Vortex" (aka Nexus Mod Manager) support?
I installed it manually in Vortex by downloading the zip in my browser, then going to Vortex: Mods and clicking on "install from file". Next, I expanded the "Actions" menu and clicked "Guess ID". This linked it up with the nexus mod ID (185) and I think auto-update checks will work now... But would be better if the mod itself has the necessary metadata to support Vortex out of the box. It's the best way to install and update Subnautica mods :)
Edit: I see that you added Vortex support to your VR Enhancement mod. Thanks a lot :) I guess this one is up for it next time it gets an update. :)
The modding community to the rescue... Again! Oh my goodness, thank you so much. As a brand new player to Subnautica I thought there was something amiss with the AF because of the ugly blur on textures but being new I thought it might just be me. One quick Google later and AF is now fixed leaving the game looking much better.
Very strange for a game to not use AF as everyone knows it has almost zero performance hit, it requires so little resources nowadays that for the past 8-years it's just been a default recommendation by all gamers to always set it to x16 on every game and forget about it. Weird they left it out.
If you have an AMD graphics card you can get the same effect without this mod by forcing anisotropic filtering on for Subnautica under the Gaming tab > Subnautica in the AMD Settings application.
Sorry for the late reply but I'm not getting notifications for nexusmods comments. I did not see any performance hit at the maximum 16x so that is what I would recommend.
I didn't notice it as much on the monitor but in VR the blurry textures were terrible. My VR Enhancements mod is a must have also. https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/173

Thank you again, WhoTnT, much appreciated.
edit: actually, seems below zero respects nvidia control panel settings. mod no longer needed, for nvidia, at least.
