Is there any way to put the PDA further away from your eye? Somehow having to look at something so close is giving me a massive headache

Looking at it with one eye kinda works, but not the ideal way to go through a 100 hour game, and also it makes me sleepy 😴

There is a slider to adjust the distance of the PDA but if I remember correctly, I have it set to the maximum arm length of the character by default. Are you saying that even when set to maximum, it is still too close for you?

Not OP but i find the pda to be too close even at maximum. It’s really a cross eyed feeling trying to focus on the text.

i would line to move it back a bit if its possible

This problem has never been reported before so I'm not sure what would be causing it for you. If you have other mods installed, you can try testing it with only my VR mod installed to check if there is mod compatibility issue. You can also send me a PM with the contents of your Player.log file so I can look into it.

Thank you so much for making this mod!!!!

I'm hoping to get a Quest 3 by the end of the year, and haven't played Subnautica yet because I really want to play it in VR. Can you easily finish the whole game using this mod and a controller? I noticed the motion controls mod has a bug where you can't delete buildings - is this one okay in that regard? because yeah if you can finish the game comfortably and can do everything you can in the flatscreen version then I'm definitely playing this in VR when I get the headset!!!

    Cheers!

Quick question. Does this mod bring back opening and closing hatches / doors animation in VR.

    Thanks for any feedback.

I don't know much about the other mod. You would need to ask the developer of that mod.

This is great. I personally don't feel like using the mod that gives you VR hands and all that so this is perfect. I loved Subnautica VR as it was but it really did suck. So many improvements and I can finally use external cameras on my Cyclops without ruining my heads front-facing orientation.

I recently fixed the external cam spotlight issue but didn't upload the new version yet. Head rotation doesn't turn the light currently.

Thank so much for this mod.

I wonder if I can ask one quick question. Does it allow for door opening, and closing animations they took out of the VR version.

As this was so much more immersive than just appearing on the other side of the door.

A yes or no answer will be great. If you could please.

    Thanks again.

Once you enable animations with the mod then all animations that played in the normal game, including the door animation, will play.

Is there any chance of getting a BZ version of this? The one that someone made based on this is no longer working/updated.

Thanks so much for the mod! The Quest 3 FOV vertically is a bit different, the range points further down than up. This results in not being able to see the top part of the HUD very well. Would it be possible to add an option that has the HUD moved lower down? Also, the option for the look down to show HUD option isn't there anymore, was that intended to be removed? Playing on Steam.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the range points further down than up". I'm assuming you mean that the HUD is offset upwards so that the top is cut off or is it that the HUD is tilted somehow? The look down option has been replaced by the Dynamic HUD option but if you open the PDA you can still look down to see the HUD.

Yes, the HUD is offset upwards. It's not quite cut off but it's very uncomfortable to look at as you have to point your eyes up as high as possible. I could try and take a photo through the lens if it helps show the issue for you.

Is everything offset like the main menu and options etc or just the in game HUD?

The ingame hud is a bit high. Maybe a slider for Y Offset if that's possible? Other than that great mod glad to see it continued.

I installed SubmersedVR_0.1.6 and BepInEx and everything works fine on the current version of Subnautica. But Nitrox does not support this version, which makes it impossible to play in multiplayer. At the same time, if you change the beta menu to legacy, then the above mods stop working, without which playing in VR is torture. Who knows how to solve this?
