she? o_o, the turret should always target hostile creatures, for more check out the mod's options to enable firing at specific creatures, but if you want turrets to fire at custom modded ones then check out Vanilla Expanded mod
Question, can you (as in we the user) add custom creatures for the turrets to shoot at, like the Gargantuan Leviathan from Return Of The Ancients or The Silence from Call of the Void?
It can be, but is a .rar file rather than a .zip. When I inspected the page element, in place of the download url it said that there was an error due to the link not being found
I've verified installation of this mod but for some reason I just can't find the turrets anywhere in the build menu. What's going on? can someone please help?
They finally mysteriously showed up but they won't kill a reaper leviathan that's attracted to the area around my base? why?
make sure your on the latest version of Subnautica, that your not using legacy version and also have Nautilus installed, and it should be located in the misc category of builder user interface
Wow! ty for your response you're really efficient. I posted an edit to my question before I realized that you had posted a reply so please see above for my next question? also, why does it come up as "UnknownModdingLib" instead of Alterra Turret?
- because thats the name I gaved for the project, I do rename the folders before publishing but I think I stopped doing that, also I'm not sure what you meant by not killing a reaper, is the turret not dealing any damage?, it should be but it takes a while to kill a reaper
This turret would be perfect if it targeted the crabsnakes in the jellyshroom caves. I can't build my glowy, purple-y base without getting killed over and over :(
I'm not sure what you mean by mod.json, you gotta just drop off the mod folder into "Subnautica\BepInEx\plugins" to make it work also note (this won't work with SMLHelper) or with the legacy branch of the game
I like this mod :D Though, I think it would be situated better to be an Exterior Module rather than an interior thing when using the builder tool. It makes more sense.
Also, Id love to see a version that makes it more difficult to craft. More materials n such. It feels a lil cheaty to me atm.
if you mean the turret being in the misc category I was kinda in a hurry to finish up the mod since I really could used some defense, and yea its a little cheaty in vanilla but I played with 2 hard mods which was kinda of a pain at start xd, so I made this mod to play with those mods
Still, I absolutely adore it. Ive also installed the mods that allow the Reaper Leviathans to be more dangerous, and this mod has saved my life. Especially since I use crowd control, and people spawn Reapers on me constantly.
Any chance that people will be able to make additional config files to allow the turrets to target other creatures if the new optional file has the IDs of other possible targets? Maybe like mod added leviathans?
maybe the next time I play Subnautica I might add a config.xml file to include any creature to the list but atm I'm not in Subnautica, doing something else
weird I reuploaded the files, could you try from a different browser also I don't think many users are having this issue if so they would have posted and mentioned here, anyway I'm not sure what to do because I really did reupload the files, might be a nexus side issue or a bug, not sure
