Don't use this mod if you aren't playing VR. It will lock your game up so your mouse look doesn't work.

Got this Mod working. Open "mod.json" and change the ID/first line to"Id": "ImmersionMod"

This fix no longer appears to work at least not for me.

Sadly this mod no longer works as of 2020. Game updates last year broke all mods, so they all needed to be updated for the latest version but the mod author of this mod is MIA.

    Shame.

Any chance of getting an update? The big little update broke this mod, and it's my must-have mod.

This mod needs updated badly. I removed every other mod I use (30+) and this STILL didn't work.

Troubleshoot for your endorsers, or take this down, because as it stands, it's non-functional.

      Is this just litterally 'hardcore'.

      As in, the real hardcore?

I've tried everything and I can't get this mod to work. The immersion mod is inside the qmod folder. Is there anything I'm missing?

Same problem here. I removed the only other mod that I was using, and still can not get this to work.

    Hi,

    I have a problem:
I did extract the folder and put it into QMods, but the mod does not work! It still shows me all of the HUD and the Y,U,I-buttons do not do anything.

I do not play VR, is this mod only for VR-users?

What do I have to do else to make it work?

Thanks in advance for reading this :)

    Regards,
    M.

I'd like to report an issue, though I'm sincerely not complaining. I'm using your other mod "Toggle HUD with Controller" in the meantime, which is just fine for me. I've already endorsed that a little while ago, and I appreciate your taking the time to do just one of the mods, and sharing it here with the community. I'm running a very lightly modded regular (NO VR) game limited to just 3 other mods. I'm suspicious there may be a compatibility issue, but again I want to stress it's not VR given the description mention. The 3 other mods are: Custom Beacons, Long Locker Name, and Seaglide Map controls - all run through Qmods, of course (I have mod helper, too, though I don't have any mods that require it to my knowledge).. Essentially, it's just quality of life stuff, and as I stated your other mod gives me a clean HUD (thank god). I'd prefer this version for the Full Reticle/ Dynamic HUD, but hey-- first world problems, right? I hope this is my biggest problem just for the rest of the day today = fantastic day.

Anyway, the problem manifests itself as follows in 3 ways:
    1) Loading the game "hangs" for a good 6-10 seconds that doesn't happen at all with your "Toggle Hud" mod
    2) None of the options work with a controller. It works fine with keyboard though
    3) And lastly, if I quit and try to reload or start a new game, I receive an error message, and the mod doesn't work at all with keyboard or controller, though the game launches and runs fine. As long as I quit to desktop and relaunch, again, back to #2 with keyboard, but no controller (dang).

I'm suspicious there's a compatibility issue with one of the other 3 mods, but I won't know if I don't ask. I appreciate any help or suggestions in advance. Regardless, thanks again for the mods and for your sharing them with the rest of us. Cheers!

Has anyone gotten the HUD elements to successfully hide as intended when also running the VR Enhancements mod? For me VR Enhancements overrides all control over the BarsPanel and the DepthCompass. With both mods installed the only way I can disable BarsPanel is to enable "look down to see HUD" in the options as added with VR Enhancements.

    -resolved-
WhiteLights was interfering with the mod, and if you enable look down to see HUD it also interferes, and disabling it and what not causes a loop. After some game restarts it now works fine.

I'm running Subnautica (Epic version) in Linux with Wine. For what it's worth, the game displayed an error when starting up the game, and the mod didn't work. The error log (line 85) mentions "invalid ID!". Opening the mod.json file and changing the id line fixed the issue. Specifically, I changed "Id": "com.chisnexus.subnautica.hudimmersion.mod", to "Id": "immersionmod",

Works great now. Honestly I kind of miss the toolbelt when peeking, but that's nitpicking and otherwise this is perfect. Edit: Awesome, you made it easy to add the quickslots to peeking. Thanks chisnexus, this is just what I was looking for.
