Hi, nice mod but im having a problem, even if I let unactive the square inventory option, is keeping it active, I dont know how to explait well but this is the normal subnautica inventory:
and this is what it looks like with the mod:
See how the grade is different? is it supossed to look like that?
I am not sure if I did something wrong or if there is a fix for this, but I added the mod and started a new game. The background colors work as I had them set-up, but the flashing background that normally appears when a new item is added to the inventory never stops. I have some sensitivity to flashes, but normally the icons stop flashing quickly enough that it doesn't bother me or give me a headache. However, the continuous flashing of all icons everytime I open the inventory is going to be too much. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? I do much prefer the colored backgrounds provided by your mod and would like to use it.
Out of interest, how are the catagories defined? Is this pulling on some in-game info to determine, say, which items belong in the Food and Drink catagory?
I ask because I have a mod which adds a number of new food and drinks, but they just show with the default background.
Unfortunately it would be way too slow to automatically determine the category, so it’s all determined manually. Perhaps I could use the PDA blueprints category for stuff like that, but it won't be perfect and it would have to somehow trigger after every other mod already loaded.
Hmm, is it at all plausible to provide a config file to allow the addition of modded item IDs for the available categories, so that this mod can effectively pre-empt the loading of other mods and be aware of those items categories in advance?
Absolutely possible. I’ll see about updating this soon, though it’s not a priority in terms of all my mods. In the meanwhile all my mods are open source for anyone to send their changes :P
Sorry, that was probably worded badly. It wasn't my intention to make you feel pressured in any way to do so. It was more a case of me thinking out loud. :) I can appreciate that what sounds like simple suggestions can actually take hours/days to implement.
Unfortunately, I know nothing of Unity engine programming, so I'm a bit limited there, even though I can generally get the basic idea of what the code is attempting to do after a bit of trawling. :P
In any case, many thanks for sharing your work. Much appreciated! :)
I'm not sure where things went wrong. It could be something I did incorrectly? The game launches successfully, and I can change the MOD options in the game settings, but they don't seem to work. All files are up to date
I'm pretty sure I remember seeing this mod before on here a few years back before the collections fiasco. Nice to see it back on the Nexus.
A mod like this makes me wonder how hard it would be to make a mod to change the fabricator UI colors to whatever the user pleases. I miss the light blue color from before the 2.0 update. I know there used to be a mod on here that allowed you to do that for the legacy version of the game, but the creator seemed to have deleted it for some reason, I think around the same time this mod disappeared.
Anyways, I'm basically rambling at this point lol. I should try to get back into Subnautica modding and make that mod myself at some point

I've disabled mods that can be causing the issue like Quick Slots Plus, Advanced Inventory and Bag Equipment and it still doesn't work.

Does that make any sense? :)

Thank you for keeping it going!
