Here's a sticky comment to try to keep people ACCURATELY informed as to the current situation of this mod:

Yes, this port is hosted against his wishes.
No, it's not against licensing - his repository is licensed under GPL-3.0 which, regardless of nexus permissions, means that people have the right to modify and release under that same license. Which I have done.
I did not want to release this against his wishes.
I did attempt to contact him, but both failed to wait long enough for him to reply and also failed to find appropriate contact info.
This is not entirely my fault; his contact information on the mod pages is out-of-date and unusable, and I am unaware of how to initiate DM's on nexus mods.
     - EDIT: the mod was placed under moderation as I hadn't included the license file; even after fixing that, I waited to unhide it and sent a nexus forums message (now that I know how to use that, it's a bit of a pain IMO though) - he has yet to respond to that after 4 days.
The files will be deleted once he releases his own port, barring any major exceptions such as if he does something to make it unfunctional for certain users.
I am not seeking to steal his work - I even offered to let him host the files on his own mod pages as "extra files", no credit required. he refused.
He is working on his own port. This patch is just a temporary fix until then.
Yes, I did link people to this page from his comments. You can't see it anymore as he removed it. Does that count as advertising? yes. But the intention was to steer people away from the stream of "nautilus port please", not to steal from him. You can't even use this port without download his mod.

And please, please stop harassing him in the comments of his own mod. If people want to know what's going on, they can come here, since he's not accurately stating the situation.

Can you explain how to resize/rotate the custom frame, please? That frame is the main reason I downloaded this mod, it's all great but the frame is outstanding :)

Ive noticed that whenever i have this mod installed, if i use my scroll key while holding space (like when swimming) it changes my tool with an item in  my inventory which then requires me to use the number keys to switch tools since the scroll wheel just rotates the item. Is there a way to prevent items from being selected like that?

In the original deco mod, there was an option "Lock quickslots when placing an item". I haven't tested this update but maybe the option is still there.

Hey there! I don't mean to make life harder on you--considering the situation here--but it seems like this mod, at least for me, is blocking the "Alien Eggs" databank entry and automatically identifying eggs. I'm not sure if it's a bug or intended behavior, but this is the mod that I've currently isolated to be the cause.

    Thanks!

I am providing this as-is; I don't really know much about how it actually works, all I did was swap the prefab/crafting handlers to Nautilus and convert the translation code to use language files.

I see. Thanks for getting back to me, though! Hopefully the official mod gets a Nautilus update sometime soon :D

Not sure if it's a bug with the mod or your patch? No errors pop up when loading and it does not crash, but unable to retain the names given to lockers. Meaning I can name the lockers but upon exiting the game (saving the game before exiting) and restarting all the lockers lose their names and are now blanked out. You can rename them but by exiting the game and re-entering they are lost again. Removing the mod altogether then the names are retained. The CyclopsDocking mod also causes this issue.

Summary: 1. So with Decoration Mod 2.03 w\patch locker names disappear when reentering the game ...
      2. When Deocortion Mod with the patch is disabled issue of all names are retained, reentering the game ... except when Cyclops Docking mod needs to be disabled also.
      3. The issue appears also when Cyclops Docking mod is enabled even when this mod is disabled ...

So both mods need to be disabled to retain the locker name.

you kinda stole someone else's work , It doesn't matter that he wouldn't update it, you didn't have permission. It's not your place to update his mod.

I did not steal his work. I simply updated it to run with the Nautilus. I don't include the assets nor take credit for the actual work. Also, the mod is licensed under the terms of the GPL-3 which expressly permits this. I did take the mod down after it was under moderation for a while and asked if it was okay to put back up be he never responded to that (which is kind of weird tbh).
regardless, this is a temporary port until the code is confirmed working by him and merged into the main mod. If you don't like it, don't download it.
If he didn't want to have his mods ported this way, he should have:
       - not pushed for SMLHelper to be licensed under GPL-3 instead of LGPL, requiring all mods made with SMLHelper to also be under GPL-3
       - kept people informed as to the state of the mod
       - provided up-to-date contact information
       - a few other things I don't feel like saying as I've made my point here.
I don't have anything personal against this guy; all I wanted to do was make works available to people.

OMG ... no he didn't steal his work ... its nothing but a patch to use his mod. So how is that stealing if you still need to use his mod? If you
consider that stealing, then creating mods to use Nautilus and BepInEx is stealing. Or everyone would need to get permission to use Nautilus and BepInEx mods. It is ridiculous. And no one person has a monopoly on a mod. If someone wants to create a similar mod they can!!!

Plus it appeared Nexus took it down for several days, so it appears it was reviewed and now it's back up. Case close ...

For those wanting to see how things have gone with this and the owner, this is a pretty revealing read; https://github.com/K07H/CyclopsDockingMod/pull/2

As I was reading the description of this patch mod, I tried to see what is happening in the post section of the actual decoration mod and it seems that the author actually placed a comment there saying someone made a modified version without telling him. I'm not sure if this is the mod, but what a coincidence this is that the comment was posted a few days after this...

It's not a coincidence, this is the mod. There's been an entire situation about this, people are understandably upset, I was unable to try to explain the situation on his mod pages as I am now blocked from commenting there. He's dug his own hole about this but the biggest issue is that he has no real ground to stand on right now. The code is licensed under GPL-3.0 which specifically allows me to release this, so here it stays until he has an official port out.
