Great idea for the mod, thanks for it. But I have one question regarding when these items will unlock? What determines the progress, and could there be any issues if I install this mod midway through my playthrough?
I installed partway through a playthrough. To unlock each item you have to put at least one ingredient from the item you want in your inventory. you'll need lantern fruit, koosh bulbs/bulb bush, creepvine, and a lot of other I forgot. but everything is very good and balanced. feels like it was always there and makes you think about what you are getting.
Pygmy fan does straight up not exist for me as an Item. Any tips on how to fix this? tried adding one with debug command: "item smallfan 1" but nothing appeared
For some reason, certain items in subnautica can't be given by the console command. For example, creatures can only be taken into inventory from an aquarium. It's the same with the pygmy fan. You can find this plant in the Koosh/Bulb Zone or Mushroom Forest. You should know that it is rare.
Here's a tip: keep an eye out for Writhing Weeds (the blue and green tendrils) in the Bulb Zone, because I've found Pygmy fans growing next to them every single time. Much easier to spot
