would i still be able to get the same murky water effect if i turn off the film grain? i ask because i personally don't care too much for the film grain effect because i feel it distracts from the beautiful textures and also it clutters my screen too much.
@Charliegordan I don't have the game installed at the moment, as I'm upgrading. But what I can say is at the time of creating this last year, the only possible way to blur the water was certain blurring/graining effects. So disabling the grain will likely affect the blurring, but how much... I can't test at the moment.
So your best bet is to try it. Takes 2 mins to drop it in your folder and boot the game, then open the ReShade menu and toggle it off or move the slider to reduce it. Maybe you'll find a happy medium.
I just realized Below Zero has yellow kelp, and not green kelp, I was looking for Subnautica shaders and was like "Why does it change the kelp like that?" And it was about to be a deal breaker then I looked up what Below Zero kelp looks like and I was like "oh-"
:) Yeah, the screenshots are taken in Below Zero just because that was the game I was playing at the time when I uploaded it. However, it works and looks identical on both games as there is no difference between the two games, except for textures.
Hi, if I want to use other reshades but still have the blurr effect, how can I do that? Because this specific reshade is a bit too dark/grey for me sadly
Sorry for the late reply, for some reason I'm no longer receiving notifications when someone comments. You can tweak any shade by opening the editor settings, you can either just take a screenshot of the settings in my shader, then manually input that into the other shader you want to use. But the easiest way would be to edit the INI file, then you can copy over a section to the other shader you want to use.
It's not a .ini file, which makes this completely unusable with reshade. I need some help here cause its downloading as a .7z file which I can't find as a preset for reshade, which makes your instructions not helpful. The file contents say it is a .ini file but when I click manual download it turns into an unusable and useless file.
What an awesome shader. Couple of things for future users. I had to manually put the .ini file in my game folder or it wouldn't work. Reshade didn't automatically do that for me (not sure if it was supposed to). It wasn't in the directions to have to manually place it but I always had to do it on other shaders. No biggie. Also, I tuned off the filmic setting and it looks super great on my hdr monitor. I think having it off adds to the look. Of course, I like to play as dark as possible with still being able to see how beautiful the game is. I never run depth of field ever in a game, but it does add to it with this shader. Kudos to shader maker here.
