About this mod
A mod that allows the user to change the damage dealt by creatures, individually modify each creature's damage values, or instead using presets to quickly change all creatures' damage. A spoiler-free version is also available, with only the presets included and none of the creatures' names.

Presets
The mod comes with 8 available presets to select from, to quickly change all creature's damage values, are;
- Custom - any individual changes made to specific creatures will take effect
- Sandbox - all enemies deal 1 damage
- Very Easy - All enemies deal 50% less damage
- Easy - All enemies deal 25% less damage
- Default - All enemies deal default damage
- Hard - All enemies deal 25% more damage
- Very Hard - All enemies deal 50% more damage
- Sudden Death - All enemies will kill the player in one hit, including vehicles (cyclops takes 2 hits); you have been warned!
Customisability
In the options menu, the mod allows the user to change the damage dealt by specific creatures. In the case of creatures with multiple different attacks, these have been separated, to allow for more customisability.
Each attacks' damage values are set to their original value in-game by default, with most attacks able to be set between 1 and 100. With certain creatures being capable of damaging the cyclops, which has a large amount of health, a separate option is included, with damage values able to be set between 5 and 500.
In-game health values for reference:
- Player has 100 health
- Seamoth has 300 health
- Prawn Suit has 600 health
- Cyclops has 1500 health
The mod also includes the ability to specify which creatures should ignore the damage reduction given by wearing the Reinforced Diving Suit. You can edit the 'config.json' found in the 'CreatureConfigDamage' folder by going into BepInEx's config folder, where the filepath should look something like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\BepInEx\config
If you can't find the 'config.json' file, or the file doesn't contain "IgnoreArmour", you should delete the 'config.json' if it exists, then restart the game. It should generate the file correctly, though will wipe any changes you had made to the damage values previously.
Spoiler-Free/Lite Version
If, for example, you want to use this mod to make someone's first time with the game easier and you wish to use this mod without being spoiled by the names of all the creatures in the options menu, a spoiler-free version is available, with only the presets in the options menu. This is also useful if you only want to use the presets and don't want to have all the individual creature options listed in the options menu.
As this version of the mod has no individual creature options, the 1st preset, Custom, has been removed on this version, so no need to be confused if you can't find it when using the lite version.
Installation
To install the mod, simply:
- Navigate to the Files tab and download the latest version; install either the full or lite version of the mod; do NOT have both installed at once.
- Place the .zip file into the BepInEx folder; filepath should like something like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\BepInEx
- Extract the .zip file and, if asked, allow to overwrite the plugins folder.
- Start the game and navigate to the options menu and find Creature Config Damage options, to confirm the mod is installed.
- Enjoy!
To uninstall, simply remove the mod from the mod files. Delete the folder of the same name in the config folder also.
Changes to damage values occur when creatures first load in, so it's entirely safe to install or uninstall the mod whenever you wish.
Incompatibilities
Any mod which overwrites the damage values of creatures' attacks is unlikely to work with this mod, as one of them would overwrite the other's changes.
Also be aware, this mod does not change the damage values of creatures added by other mods.
