What is funny though, is realisticly, this is accurate to real life; nuclear fuel in reactors lasts a very long time and produce a LOT of power compared to the waste itself produced.  And so there should be far less need to replace the fuel once its inserted.  Given the danger the player often has to subject themselve so in order to gather the materials and scanning the salvage I'd say this isn't really all that unfair at all; Solar lasts forever with no maintenance, bio reactors well you unever run out of fuel for them, thermals you never run out for them, so why should nuclear power be the only power source that can run out?

Seemed almost like the devs have a bias against the power source. (it was apparently underpowered to an extreme in earlier versions to).

Agreed - the game default of underpowered nuclear is weird.
Equally weird as the "perpetuum mobile"-like charging fins, that keep your Sea Glide endlessly charged (not that I'm complaining about that ;-).

Though, I don't agree on bio reactor fuel never running out.
While the bio matter fuel doesn't "decay" over time (unrealistic), it does get used up rather quickly if you have a persistent power drain connected, like a scanner... that said, the scanner doesn't remain active over save/load, so it's only an issue if you play long continuous sessions...

2.0 - as indicated by the "stable branch" tag (1.0 is indicated by "legacy branch" here on nexusmods).

I've never seen the point of using nuclear power in Vanilla, i always used thermal power even though the power transmitter bug is very annoying. So thanks to you im excited to try out using nuclear power! it's my fifth time play through so yeah :)

Note that when you have a mod with super overpowered batteries; you can drain a base even with multiple nuclear reactors rather quickly. So your mod is only cheating if you are playing "vanilla"
