This is a very simple mod made with BepInEx (Subnautica Pack).
Note that - while QModManager is now based on BepInEx - QMods go into a different folder than BepInEx mods. This is not a QMod.

Short:
This mod extends individual nuclear reactor rods to last 8000 minus instead of the original 80 minutes.
Neither rods nor reactor need to be reconstructed for this mod to take effect.

Details:
This mod multiplies the efficiency of Nuclear Reactor Rods by a factor of 100.
The original capacity is 20,000.
A Nuclear Reactor gets 20,000 power units out of one single rod, at a rate of 4.1666667 units per second.
Thus, under constant full load, a single rod is good for 80 minutes.
With the mod, a single rod is good for 8000 minutes, more than 5.5 days.

Rationale:
There is a persistent bug in Subnautica, compromising external power transmission, and thus making thermal power unreliable.
The bug:
Mostly after loading a game, power transmission often stops working, especially if the base(s) are distant from where the player is located at the time of loading.
The power only starts working again if (a) the player comes near the effected base(s) (causing the game to finally fully construct the geometric details of the base in the game world. These geometric details impact power transmission, especially the pillars of base units and base foundations).
Often, even (a) is not sufficient, and one has to additionally (b) deconstruct and reconstruct a power transmitter to make it work again.
As such, in depths away from sunlight (solar panels, BioReactors alone deplete quickly), this leaves only the Nuclear Reactor as a persistent power source.
For this reason, to allow some compensation for this bug, this mod makes nuclear power effectively inexhaustible.

Nevertheless, the impact of this mod on game play can be large enough to consider this mod cheating.
