if possible, i think it would be interesting if a particular 'setting' could be selected. Ex: Safe shallows, close to ship, kelp forest, etc this way a certain element of randomness is still felt when starting a new game.
i know there's a randomizer mod that has this option, but this mod focused only on lifepod placement and you could have it randomized each and every time a new save was made or pick where you wanted to fall. on top of that the ability to climb out of the falling lifepod and watch where you'll end up was exciting and terrifying at the same time as you plummeted down knowing you were in for a rough ride.
PLEASE bring this mod back.
edit: i just had my yearly scare as i turned around and my pod was dropping right by the right engine side of the Aurora and with a heavy option enabled sunk right down to the sand. i absolutely adore this mod and after replaying Subnautica with the randomizer mod for the 2.0 update and now going back again to Legacy i cannot stress how much i want this mod in 2.0. although randomizer mod is great for other things this mod is perfect for this one thing which it does incredibly well. it's such a shame it's relegated to Legacy branch only.
when selecting "Custom" no matter what I do I always spawn in Safe Shallows
I have tried going to the config file and typing the coordinates (And saving) And ive tried doing the same thing but hitting "save as" and replacing the file this is getting very frustrating because I just wanna start in a cool area
I can't make the spawn location option work. I have set my coordinates in the config text file and I selected the "custom" option but I always spawn at the default locations. When doing some testing I discovered that the "spawn location" option reset itself to "random" everytime I leave the setting menu, which is weird since the other option does save and work. So not only I can't select my custom spawn location, but it doesn't even spawn me in a random location (as the option checked is forced to random).
Drag the downloaded .zip into the mods tab of vortex, at the bottom where it says "Drop file(s)". Please note tho that this is a legacy mod, only works if your game is on the Steam legacy branch.
