for anyone returning or finding this mod you can't use it to download mods, the creator of submodica (the website it uses to download mods) is down permanently. They said it's mainly because of the hell that people have put him through just for creating a free resource.
Hello, I just installed the mod manager and everything is working just fine, except for the automatic installation part. I dragged the Nautilus zip for CompositeBuildables into the ModDownloads folder and the mod manager recognised it and downloaded it, but it won't let me restart the game when prompted, as in I press the button to restart but the game keeps running. Am I doing something wrong or is it a problem with my game? I have Bepinex set up correctly, it's just the restart part that is causing the problems. Thanks in advance
Edit: Nevermind, I just looked through the GitHub page a little more and found the bug report saying most features don't work on MacOS. The manager is still useful for checking if I installed the mods correctly the manual way, so it still has its uses regardless :)
That's completely fine, no worries. If you need any help testing the mod manager I'd be happy to help! :) Afterall, it is a very nifty thing to have for any OS, and I'd like to contribute. (Also, so sorry for the painfully late reply, Nexus Mods did not send me any notification that you replied to me...)
After I install any mod and the mod manager tries to restart Subnautica, I get an error popping up in Steam saying:
Subnautica An error occurred while launching this game: Game already running
Then when I hit the "Close" button on the popup, I see that briefly there is a "Stop" button on the Subnautica page in my Steam library, and after a second or two it changes in to a "Play" button, and hitting that "Play" button starts the game as usual without a problem.
It would be great if the mod manager could just wait a bit for Subnautica to completely exit before trying to restart it... or, alternatively, to just not try to restart it at all but simply exit and let the user restart it manually from Steam themselves. That way at least it wouldn't require clicking through the error popup every time.
