As some people have pointed out already: Submodica is DEAD.
The mod manager is fine, but the browse feature will have to be entirely replaced down the line. This COULD mean automatic mod installing!
We might be able to provide an alternative in the future. Currently, Nexus mods, GitHub, and the Subnautica Modding Discord server are the main places to get mods.
Hello, I just installed the mod manager and everything is working just fine, except for the automatic installation part. I dragged the Nautilus zip for CompositeBuildables into the ModDownloads folder and the mod manager recognised it and downloaded it, but it won't let me restart the game when prompted, as in I press the button to restart but the game keeps running. Am I doing something wrong or is it a problem with my game? I have Bepinex set up correctly, it's just the restart part that is causing the problems. Thanks in advance
Edit: Nevermind, I just looked through the GitHub page a little more and found the bug report saying most features don't work on MacOS. The manager is still useful for checking if I installed the mods correctly the manual way, so it still has its uses regardless :)
Submodica is DEAD. mmm did not know that thank for point that out can wait see what in the future also i would love if you would bring back De-Extinction but i guess i have wait for that to
Thanks ... works great. But I have one question. Some modders when they package their mod are nothing but a single .dll file not inside a folder. They simply say to install it in BepInEx\plugins. Subnautica Mod Manager tells me they need to be put in a folder. So do ignore Subnautica Mod Manager directions and follow the mod author directions or Vise Versa?
Either way works technically. It's more organized if every mod has its own folder, though, and I'm not sure why people suggest you put it directly into BepInEx/plugins.
*NOT* working currently. Button doesn't show up in any menus, does not seem to matter whether you're using legacy or Nautilus with BepInEx, no matter which version of BepInEx you use. No menu = this mod does nothing.
Thank you for this mod. For people struggling the way I did, I suggest installing the mod via Vortex as well as its dependency mod BepInEx. As for me, this fixed the problem prior to installing it manually.
seems when installed through Vortex it doesn't work properly. instead of Mod Manager option there are 2 play options at the top and bottom and Local Saves option.
