I love this mod! I honestly can't use the Scanner Room without it. Thank you so much for continuing it from Randy's.
Sorry to bother, but I wanted to make a suggestion. Could you add the ability to toggle off the Scanner HUD with a key?
Also, what languages do you need to know to mod games like Subnautica? I know Unity uses C# and sometimes you can use XML, but I'm only a beginner in programming.
When I get a chance to work on it again I will see what I can do about a key bind. I didn't know much about Unity or C# when I decided to try to fix the VR issues with Subnautica but I did do programming before so that would have helped me. I would suggest playing around with Unity a bit by creating a small project to learn the structure of a Unity game. You might need to understand a little bit about Object Oriented Programming to be able to figure out what the original game code is doing. This might be helpful also but I'm not sure how often it is updated. https://mroshaw.github.io/Subnautica/
Thanks for porting this. Seems to work ok although having just tested it, the orange circles were acting a bit weird. Like one minute they were visible, then they all disappeared, then reappeared again.
Also would it be possible to add the hotkey like Randy had? To disable and enable the circles with the L key?
Ok so just an update on this. It seems the orange circles act perfectly fine when using the regular scanner room HUD chip. It seems they only act weird when used in conjunction with the Mobile Resource Scanner mod.
Endorsed, I finished my first Subnautica playthrough using your mod, thank you!
It would be great if you could bring the mod to Below Zero as well, I plan to wait a bit more before playing it until more mods are updated and migrated to it!
"there is not enough localization to display meters" I have no idea what this means. I created this mod as a quick temporary mod until someone else updates BetterScannerBlips so it is unlikely that I will be putting more time into updating it unless there are bugs. I don't even know what is the mods section that you are talking about. I'm assuming it's a custom menu created by another mod and if that is the case, I would rather have my mods dependent on as few things outside my control as possible.
If you mean the distance display on the blips, I will look into how hard that would be to add when I have some time. Edit: It was easy. I just did it and I will upload it later today.

Thanks.

It would still be nice to have the hotkey to disable the circles though, like the original mod.
Thanks for your time I appreciate it.

One request, if I may? Could the distance be added (a la BetterScannerBlips)? I didn't think I would miss that as much as I found I do.
