Hello, I wanted to know how to open files with the extension v, how to change or even extract them? With which program and tool? Because I wanted to play Stronghold warlords and I wanted to do the same editing in the game files.
For some reason all units (woodcutters, soldiers, etc.) have problem with pathfinding through gates. The problem exists for both player and AI. Didn't encounter this problem without mod.
funny thing ! i read your description for first time and u are wrong man ! what the f*#@ that damm asset v ! is the one who make everything possible ! picking heroes maps items item capacities limits need and .... you say dont need whole asset wtf ? like u say make visual studio project and run it but dont write any codes in it but expact result !
You are right actually, description is slightly misleading. I HAVE edited the assets.v file and made a separete file that just goes along side of it. All you have to do is copy paste Limits.v and config next to it.
hold on a seconds ! its not an assets V? then what is this ! i mean its new file like mod or something u add in game ! doesnt need to be replaced on asset V? i mean what u said i think was this
I have went trough with some people and they say now the file works. In any case someone is having issues ill prob check up on the mod but i am not always active on Nexus so you might wait.
All that has to be done is download the new zip and extract the contents inside of the assets folder. The only thing that will be replaced is the config file, the limits.v is separete and is meant to be that small.
So curently i have a redone zip, on both of my PC's the mod and the game work, i have a report from discord about it not working. Ive asked my friends to check it, if it works for them then i can only deduce that Crusader 2 is just annoying, if it does not work then i am not ccompletely sure on what the issue is.
i think i know why still its not running properly ! cause assets v is least 220 to 250 megabytes ! ur file is 55 megabytes ! ithink a lot of things is missing in ur file
Any other .v does not need to be the full size, the way game reads these files can be hard to explain. In my Limits.v it only contains Interface, Scripts and Rules folders, aka the things i replaced. By writing in the Config XLM what to read the game will first read that file, anything not in Limit.v is then read from the original Assets.V without actually replacing anything from it. This is how DLC is handled and its something i learned from a Warlords mod. So all that has to be done is drop in limits and config and it should work. On my PC its working fine, and even downloading from Nexus is still working, so i have no idea what is happening. Maybe Crusader 2 is drunk and its just being ass about it. Ill try on my other PC as well.
