I have testing some of my swaps (that are made or fixed during C3 Patch era), and apparently they work fine with Ed Patch. Well....except the one that I need to heavily hex-edit the SCN file to enable the Havok Physics for the said swap. Example (for the most recent): "AKI C2 swap to DeeJay&Jamie&Luke C1". I am too fast to say thing above, because after some more testings again, I found out that the edited SCN file (to enable Havok physics data) works fine too. But the problem with my swap is that I also include the "esf0xx_00x_0x_chain.user" and many (almost all) character costumes have that particular file get updated from Ed Patch. So if you use my swap and it's not working in the game, then the culprit is that particular file. But fortunately this time I should be able to write a guide for you guys to fix the swap by yourself (remember the guide I wrote back in AKI Patch era?) --> EDIT: the guide is posted, here it is.
And also starting from Ed Patch, I will close the previous thread (because the original poster is not active anymore) and move to my own swap thread. Please click the link below: http://modderbase.com/showthread.php?tid=3379
Also I feel like my current swap mod organization is kind of messed up as they are all over everywhere. So I decide to start everything from scratch again hopefully this time they will be organized. Atm the plan is to have four mod posts on NexusMods to contain the requested swap mods depending on what type they are (based on my classification), they are:
Hello robhal, thank you for all those great swap mods. You keep all the good work from other creators alive this way and allow us to use them as we like.
Now for the problem I want to report since Ed patch for this mod here: I managed to update some of your models to the Ed patch using your forum guide, but NOT the ones of the World Tour NPC swaps. For example we cannot update the Li-Fen swap for Chun Li C1/C2 ourselves, because your "SF6-CharCostumes-ChainUserFiles (for Ed Patch).rar" does not contain the chain-files of the Li-Fen model which you used for them. I guess this counts for all swaps with World Tour NPCs. Please update the mod and/or add those chain files to the update archive. Again, thank you very much!
I have checked them in game and the real reason of why they broke is because of Ed Patch update the pfb files. Anyway, I have updated all of them, and you're welcome.
nice ty! oh i was just assuming it was the chain files because that always did the trick on the other models, but it seems i was just talking out of my a$$. sorry!
Many NPCs doesn't have their body/costume files, instead they are made from the Create Avatar stuff. Those can't be made for swaps. The others, I don't have the files because they are inside the WT pak file and I don't extract that pak file because it's very big (I think I will run out of disk space). So maybe no, sorry.
Usually when I tried to do the hair swap, I couldn't get the hair having color (usually the result is hair has no color), so I am probably not the right person for you to request this kind of mod. Sorry.
