The cats in the game are kittens. The size indicates that they can't be any more than six to eight months old, per definition still kittens. The fact that they still meow to eachother is another indicator that they are no older than five or six months old.
With Gfur Pro, however, fur is more complicated than I thought. BlueTwelve devs nativised the original pawn for blueprint, so you can't edit Gfur Shell Settings via UE4 in the Gfur component. Also combing is really difficult because the preview in the editor is really bad and inaccurate. Let me know, maybe combing through 3ds max is easier - I haven't tried it.
I remember that I was tried Gfur (free edition) a long time ago and it only support spline from 3DSMax, Spline from Blender will crashes UE4 wtih GFur. and strangely when I was try it with MAYA's spline it also crashes. I don't get it as 3DSMax and MAYA are from the same corporate. Too bad this plugin no longer free. And I don't have budget to buy it :'( And I can't test it with 3DSMax since my Autodesk subscription was expired months ago. Now I've just using Blender as my main 3D apps :)
For Stray now I'm still make another trick to grow and simulate fur. It's based on Blender groom process, I've to disable Stray FurMesh, and then I injected Blender spline and basic groom to main character mesh. The result surprisingly very good and also hyper-realistic. But the only weakness of this method is it demand GPU power so-much. Ouch!
Therefore, I'm still hold my next "Garfield The Movie Edition" mod for Stray (yes, now it look like Garfield in the movie with proper fur and funny facial rigging) and playing it as private collection. At least until I figure out how to optimized it. I also still under impressed to knowing that even with UE4 (not UE5 with advanced tech.), actually UE4 still can handle this crazy movies look character object like this (I knew, it's only 30-35fps @1080p with a 3090Ti** but still really fun to see can play it as real-time, not a pre-rendered video!)
** That's not mine, I've borrowed from a friend to tested it. =))
Now I only have choice search another tricky way to optimized it, or just waiting until NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace GPU release (and NVIDIA willing to send me a sample product of it. LOL ...Dream on!! =)) ......)
here is a quick video preview of my own version Bfur (Blender fur) for Stray. I was forget to included the main Garfield mesh to packed file and end-up with a hollow Garfield in this video... LOL =))
Great mod and just what I was looking for to combine with a pointed (Siamese) texture to make my first Ragdoll cat. 12 years gone and I still miss the little guy.

I wonder if you'd be able to change the size of the cats to oneday.

How did you comb the FurSpline? With GFur Pro or 3DSmax? :)

Should release that as-is, heh.
