Installed this a few days ago. Was unable to access any of my storage containers. The backpack icon that you see when accessing a container, disappears. I had to completely uninstall the mod via UnityModManager to get my game to work again, just turning the mod off didn't work. Panicked for a minute as I thought I might need to restart my playthrough. Installers beware!
Should add a broken tag to this mod. Cause with it active cannot use storage containers other than picking them up. Had to reinstall my whole game due to this. Wish I had a beforehand warning. Installers beware!
This has been reported having problems here in the previous posts and bug reports since '21... Sorry but you could just try reading more before blindly installing something?
It seems like every update is breaking these mods somehow - what a shame.
EDIT/UPDATE: ----------------------- Just read some instructions about the Unity Mod Manager and am wondering if this is what's 'breaking' at least some of these mods???
If installed as Assembly method
Any game update can remove UMM from the game. In this case, you need to click the Install button again.
If you have game from GOG, before updating the game, click on the button "Restore original game files". Otherwise, the update may not be installed.
As a modder I don't see the reasoning behind expecting people to read through discussions to determine if the mod works or not... If it doesn't work it shouldn't be available for download period. It isn't unfair for people to expect the mod to work as advertised. If this were mine, I would remove it... I just downloaded it myself. I read the entire description and saw no warnings about potentially breaking containers. As the entire point of the mod was to improve them. See what I mean.
Too bad you can't use the mod anymore. I can't open the bag in wooden boxes or in the dinghy, I've thrown down many other mods, checked files for errors. Unfortunately, everything is done without Maybe there will be an update because you can use the mod again, but still a nice mod
Unfortunately, you can not use containers. Stacks in back pack, nothing else. Containers are no longer interactive other than picking them up. You can not access or loot any container/locker using this mod. You will be forced to storing items on the ground.
