Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. I have already fixed the previous version of the mod by creating the items.lua file myself. The mod loaded without errors and when I hover the mouse cursor over the progress bar, I see the experience values I edited. But the game still uses default numbers to calculate the transition to the next level. So I can observe, for example, that in order to get level 8, the survivor gained 9752 experience out of the required 8000, and in fact, the survivor will go to level 8 when he gets 10000 out of 8000 (here 10000 is the default values, and 8000 is the value set by me through the mod).
