Release Date: April 2017

The first galaxy music mod for Stellaris!

Supports all versions of the game! Ignore any warning the launcher throws at you.

[DESCRIPTION] -- This mod allows you to have one custom music track (a .wav file) that plays in the background whenever you go into Galaxy Map mode.

The music will seamlessly stop (through a fast fade-out) as soon you exit the Galaxy Map.

The great thing about this mod, is that you will still have the original *AMBIENT* Galaxy Map audio files playing simultaneously with the music (the audio settings in the mod provide a great subtle effect to your playing experience).

Meaning, that the custom music in this mod does NOT disable any original audio files pertaining to the Galaxy Map (though it is possible to do so).

[COMPATIBILITY] -- As of April 28, 2017, there should be no compatibility issues with any other music/audio mods out there. Unless Paradox overhauls how the audio system functions, the mod is compatible with all versions and any future versions brought by patches.

[INSTALL GUIDE (Manual)]:
1. Place the .mod & the AU_GalaxyMusicMod(Singular)_Stellaris folder in your Documents/Paradox Interactive/mod directory

2. Open Stellaris Launcher

3. Enable "Galaxy Music" in the Mod tab.

4. Start a game/load an old save up.

5. You should now be able hear some music playing whenever you zoom out to the Galaxy Map.

[MODDING INSTRUCTIONS]:
To use your own custom galaxy music, you must:
1) Make sure your music file is in .WAV format (the engine DOES NOT support .ogg in this instance)

2) Replace galaxy_96.wav in AU_GalaxyMusicMod(Singular)_Stellaris/sound/ambient with your own file.

Have fun!

[KNOWN ISSUES] --

1.) This is a quality-of-life problem: If you use your music player, this mod does not have the ability to PAUSE/stop/reduce volume from your music player. Thus, you may hear two different pieces of music playing (the Galaxy Map music, and whatever is playing from your playlist).

Sometimes, the songs might complement each other, but most of the time, they end up contrasting too badly, hurting immersion.

I don't know (because no documentation exists about how the music player works) or have enough modding experience to figure out how to control the music player. Hopefully a solution can be found (either by me or someone else).

2) This mod doesn't affect performance. However, depending on how slow the performance of your machine is, the music may not always play whenever you enter the Galaxy Map.

The game is most likely prioritizing memory usage when this happens (to prevent CTDs).Feel free to provide me feedback (especially if there are bugs)!
