About this mod

This mod adds new music from the dark ambient artist Kammarheit to supplement the in-game soundtrack. I would describe their music as understated, otherworldly, industrial inspired ambient (see the videos for some examples).

This mod adds a large soundtrack of new music from the dark ambient artist Kammarheit to supplement the in-game soundtrack. I would describe their music as understated, otherworldly, industrial inspired ambient (see the videos for some examples).

It's the sort of thing a lot of people might read Lovecraft to, and I think their sound actually fits quite well with the vibe of a space exploration and colonization game like Stellaris. I only included what I consider to be their best songs, and ones that I felt would best fit in with the game. If you are willing to give the mod a shot, I hope you will be as pleased with the results as I am.

Check Kammarheit out on bandcamp at this link if you enjoy the music: https://kammarheit.bandcamp.com/

The vanilla soundtrack is still intact for anyone who wants to keep it - if not, you can easily disable all the vanilla songs in the in-game music player. I would suggest turning shuffle off (at least if you keep the vanilla soundtrack enabled) so that the tracks will play in order, though it really isn't too big a deal if they don't.

Soundtrack has already been updated - it now stands at somewhere beyond 2 and a half hours of new music. I also cleaned up the ordering of the tracks in the player for those who want to be able to easily listen to albums in order. I will probably still add a bit more to the soundtrack as I find new albums, but I'm already pretty satisfied with what we've got.

I designed this mod with compatibility in mind. I did not change any existing game files to add to the soundtrack. The mod is compatible with every other music mod I have tested it with - at this point I am pretty sure it will be compatible with just about anything.
