It works perfectly fine on the Xbox Controller. I wish I had this mod on a few other games. Instead of always having to go into the console. Thank you so much for making this mod.
Requiring cheat engine just to change fov is impressively ignorant and ridiculous overkill
How to change your FOV: Install UE4SS (which you probably already have for other mods) Press ~ Type fov 100 or any number you want
If you aren't using ue4ss but you use UEVR or UUU the steps are exactly the same except with UEVR you have to go to the "Console" tab and click "Spawn native console" (FOV only has an effect with VR disabled but if you toggle between both its fine)
That should be expected, the modding community is one where lots of people try to change their games, without being really knowledgeable. Its a place where the needs of many degree of "ignorant" meet the benevolence of all kinds of knowledgeable people.
Your use of "ignorant" as a pejorative term, is unimpressively ignorant.
Being able to change the FOV fluidly while playing, without resorting to menus and consoles, is what we are going for here. But thanks for the info, it makes us less ignorant, although not quite knowledgeable.
PS: I'm curious to know why you say overkill. Is it because it takes lots of efforts to make a cheat table? Or because it tweaks the game in dangerous ways? Or what?
Hey! Thank you for the idea! Could you help me installing and using the UE4SS? I have just downloaded it from the Github page (the 3.0.1v) and I have extracted the content to D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\StellarBlade\SB\Binaries\Win64 just like it says in the README file. However when I open the game I dont see any console command prompt to write when I hit the (~) key on my keyboard. I am doing something wrong? I am sorry for asking this, it is just that I do not have a lot experiece modding.
Ignorant by definition means that you intentionally ignore something. Don't go assuming the creator just knows this piece of minor detail. It is indeed impressively ignorant to assume someone knows something this specific.
Another thing is that CE is much more widely used if you do any modding, so people probably have it already. And CE is not as obscure to install as UE4SS which you need to install deep inside game files itself.
Thirdly, You dont need UE4SS for cosmetic mods which is the only thing most people mod for this game. So in reality, CE table is much better option for most people.
Haha, nice try Aloponation? I'll still answer though, I mean, maybe you are only trying to squeeze out a little more negativity in the world by using irritative words on well chosen targets, to achieve whatever agenda is pushing you, or, maybe you are truly just curious, and you use a language that you can relate to.
The reason I am "butthurt" (I'll disregard the perspective this word implies) is because when I see people putting down other people whereas they have done nothing wrong... well depending on the day and my mood, sometimes I can't stand it. The internet is full of subtle and unassumed bullies, and I always give negative feedback to such verbal outputs.
It a kind of responsibility that no one asked me to take, but that I take anyway, for the better or worst, I must admit.
I love it when someone shows solidarity to me in forums, when I get undeserved ill comments. So I do it for others. Just spreading the love brother.
Also, some people feed squirrels, but I feed trolls, as a hobby; comments like these never fails to bring some of them out when they are hungry. =D
so, from my understanding i can use this mod to fix motion sickness by make the fov further? second, i ll need this open after launching the game , am i correct?
Just gonna wait for a actual mod. I am not downloading some cheat engine just to change FOV. I do not wanna get ban from a different game casue anti cheat picks up that i have soem Cheat software on my pc. not worth the risk.
The first boss is trash without this mod imo. It took me one try on 100 FOV vs. 5-10 tries on default 90 FOV, where you can't even see the boss's moves
You need to have the game open, then open cheat engine. Click the "select a process to open" and point to Stellar Blade. Then you should be able to check the box.
What would be the point? Unless I'm mistaken any mod not using Cheat Engine would still have to do the exact thing Cheat engine already does under the hood.
You don't have to launch cheat engine, launch the game, attach, thicc box, get a coffe, solve world peace, jerk off, all this to change the fov... game mod would make it load in game without extra steps.
nice mod, but when ever i use this and then close the game, it stays open in the background forever and i have to force close it through either task manager or steam. does anyone else have this issue?

You open the game before you open cheat engine, yes.
1st reason: It does not allow you to use cheats from other cheat tables.
2nd reason: Does not allow you to use trainers
I can change the value manually, but the point for me is to be able to change it swiftly...
