I just wanted to thank you for this mod, I didn't want a mod that would make it too easy and I found the vanilla window for blocking and dodging just a tiny bit too unforgiving. I would ALWAYS misjudge the correct window for pressing the button even when I felt I pressed at the correct time. So this mod from 9 to 12 is just perfect imo. It punish me when I don't press when I'm supposed to and makes the game much more enjoyable.
I was hoping for somethign that made it a little bit easier but didn't trivialise, and this feels perfect for me. Still have to wrap my head around parrying a little earliere than I feel I should, but I'm hitting my parry strings much more often now. Thank you very much for this.
can anyone confirm for me that this improves the startup for the parry? my problem on ps5 was that i had to press the input so early that parrying became about memorization of enemy attack patterns. i know from the description that the window is longer but do i still need to press parry well before the enemy attack connects?
This mod makes no adjustment to anything other than what it says it does - no change to start-up frames. The original PS5 demo had more start-up delay than the released game (a change they made based on early feedback). Whatever small amount of start-up frames remain are not something I intend to adjust. Like Lies of P, they're extremely minimal.
This mod makes no adjustment to anything other than what it says it does - no change to start-up frames. I haven't seen the relevant data (it's likely an AnimNotify on the guarding animation itself, this being Unreal Engine), but it can't be more than a few frames - if you think it's a half second, you may have other input latency issues in your setup to address.
No. The relevant data is defined as a float value duration, representing seconds, with no dependence on frame rate. I provided a 60 FPS frame reference for purposes of comparison to other games / mods, such as my mods for Lies of P / Dark Souls / Elden Ring.
by the way, after the Perfect Parry ,the Counter ,those SP skill windows may only 1or2 frames ,it's too difficult to me ,Can we get an Improved version about this?
Hmm, I'm not sure what the Counter / Reflection skill windows are, but to me they feel like a full second or so after the perfect parry / dodge registers, which is quite generous and reasonable - but these skills do require Beta energy to perform; they're not always available. I believe another user who asked me didn't realize that and thought it was an input / window issue as it didn't always come out - maybe that's the case here?
I mean the skill "After Perfect Parry, hold ▢→△ “ and other in this Survival skill trees, i suspect it only 1or2 frames after i try to use this skill many times. and still thank for your works.
Yes, those are also the skills I'm talking about - the after-parry one is called Counter I / Counter II, and the after-dodge one is called Reflection I / Reflection II. Both of these skills require Beta energy to perform, and have pretty generous windows.
