I've gone ahead and tested just this mod, booted up a save in lethal zone, and did not experience what you have. Why would you spread such misinformation? And more importantly; what tests have you conducted to come up with such a claim? There is virtually no way this mod can cause what you have described, because the only properties it even has access to and can change is the search speed and the crash chance (cause of failing when searching) which are only linked to containers. Please carefully test all of your mods in the future before just throwing out random accusations with absolute certainty.
sadly as of 19.11.22 i cant seem to get the mod to work. ive tried multiple things like installing it via the vortex mod launcher or even installing it manually. (steam) it doesnt work
What version of the game are you running? I just tested now, and it is working as expected on Update 32 (the latest version) on Steam. So either you are installing the mod incorrectly, or you are expecting some kind of other functionality? Which version did you install? Did you install the no-fail version and super fast speed? What exactly is the issue? I'll need more information to try and figure out why it isn't working for you.
If you are using the Steam version as you say, you need to copy the .pak file from the chosen archive to this location: AppData\Local\StateOfDecay2\Saved\Paks
Working great. I selected the Fast Search 0% Chance option, which is essentially what I normally use (vanilla fast search) but I don't have that crash failure. Yeah it's a "cheat", but I'm ok with that.
There is! Join the State of Decay 2 Modding community and check out the Asset Editor which you can use to unpack the game files and edit them as needed. There are guides and such you can follow from there as well to get started.
I simply didn't include an instant (0) timer so there's that feeling of progression as the progress bar fills up since 0.5 seconds is pretty fast.
I was initially going to do that, but then I asked myself how useful would that be to others, and if it would be worth it to maintain. Can you give me some more insight as to how you'd find that beneficial for you? My thinking was, "why would someone wait 10 seconds if they could just fast search and wait 2 seconds" so I made the "Improved Searching - Fast (0 Percent Fail Chance)" version that does exactly that (makes the regular/fast search the same speed as the fast search).
Because remember, if you're going to want a no fail chance, that means you'd fast search it right? As only fast searching triggers the crash. Which, in Vanilla, is roughly 2 seconds. Hence the logic behind the file above.

Affect zombie spawning, decrease zombie 2-3 x times on lethal zone.
Increase loot about 2 times,
So play in lethal zone like in green zone ((((
no it sadly doesnt work ive followed the instructions

The one that's available is too fast for my taste.
