Hello! To anyone interested I have a new mod called "Strategic Zombie Armies & Strongholds" which dramatically increases the size of infesting hordes and infestations. Thanks to ZLB Core & ZLB 1000, I was able to simulate at first, in the game, hordes of up to 100 Zombies per horde and infestations level totalling 300 Zombies at max infestation. These are the best numbers so far and I will make reduced versions depending on other's preferences/pc specs. The Mod will also modify each Zombie type that doesn't alienate their lore but adds strengths and weaknesses that fit their abilities within their horde giving their roles a stronger impact within hordes and infestations. For an example, One Screamer commands up to 100 Zombies per Horde but is practically a super-skinny-bone-hardened Zombie that is nearly invulnerable to everything except execution kills. Ferals will see you just as you see them as they act as the scouts and cavalry of the horde. If anyone is playing on v35 lmk and I'll go ahead and post it. Other than that I'm waiting for the CM to update to v36 compatibility. Why? Because I retained my games version to v35 by keeping steam offline. Once CM updates to v36, my mod will then be released. I am play testing it now and I think people will enjoy it.
I mean, I'm playing on 36, but that sounds like a really fun mod to play around on. It'd probably cost me a few communities to get used to the difficulty spike (especially with the functional invincibility of screamers). What kind of incompatibilities would you expect between the two versions? Honestly, even just the whole "functionally invincible screamer" could be a mod of its own.
i really wanted to have harder infestation but recently i have issue with infestation. i haven't used this mod though, all infestation are empty to me. Although its there, i don't know what mod had caused it. Since this mod about infestation i was hoping some can help me find out the prob.i can't clear infestation missions because of this issue. Would really appreciate any help.
Same happened to me too. The problem is with update 29 (maybe 28 too, not tested yet). I used this mod on update 26-27 and it worked well. To fix it u have to delete the mod from paks then reload the affected map (by starting it over). I've found conflict with this mod too: https://www.nexusmods.com/stateofdecay2/mods/136?tab=files (hordes r hordier) It has an infestation spawn file too. With update 29 they've changed the inbuilding spawns to avoid appearing zombies in front of u. No more random zombie spawn when u entering into a building/house. That's causing the problen with these mods.
This version of the mod is locking up the game and I have to shut it down through Task Manager.
It happened 3 times when I got to the vicinity of an infestion. As soon as I approach an infestion and all the screamers+zombies simbols appear on the top of the screen, a couple seconds later the game locks up.
I decided to try and remove the mod and it stopped happening.
