Is there a way to make the AI always use guns, regardless of the type or number of zeds around? They don't consume ammo when shooting, so I don't really care. They would be much more useful if this behavior were consistent. Alternatively, maybe lower the threshold so they use guns when there are just three zombies nearby or any kind of freaks present.
I've played two complete games so far with this mod and, yeah, is much better, NPCs are still somewhat stupid, can't be helped I suppose, but definitely better. Actually was having NPCs doing stealth kills and quieting shutting doors.
So I played my best game so far on Nightmare using keyboard and mouse, in Meagher Valley, didn't lose a single one of my members, all 9 to the end, but the game crashed right after the whole leader overlooking the valley standing upon the rock, talking the her team thing, right before the chance to put them all to the legacy pool, so when I turned the game back on, it didn't save it where I last was, in fact I have to start all over again. I always put people to the legacy pool thing but have never actually used it, thus after a time I delete them all anyway, but still would have been nice to have them all there.
I was (and still am) playing this with the Smart AI Humans, Freak Mix, Increase or Decrease Hearts (up to 125 plague hearts), Free Bases, Adjust Visual Day Curve (night time very short, only around 7 minutes, because nights are too much eye strain), Realistic Loot, Transit System Mod (was helpful in a few places in quickly getting in and out with loot), Enclave Health Bars, and some outfit mods (all of my female team members were wearing blouses, no scarf or gloves).
Okay, so I selected my team from the start menu, continued, difficulty once again Nightmare, and this time Cascade Hills, and I was able to start at any base, I chose Mohr & Mohr Distributing since that's the only base that I've never lived at and I see my whole team is here and with all of the stuff that I had when I completed the last game that crashed at the ending, at least there's that. I never continue with the same team ever, I always start a new game from scratch, but the game has a mind of its own and cheated me out of retiring them properly.
Well, at least I have a team that is all high levels and I have so much materials that I need not worry about any of that for a while. This base has no immediate close by outposts though so no mines for defense, but shouldn't take long to clear some plague hearts.
I was going to try some other mods with my new game but don't know if adding or removing them mid game would break anything (though the game does a good enough job breaking on its own, with or without mods), was supposed to be with a whole new team, though I suppose I could still do that since there are multiple save slots.
Seems to break my followers. Their backpacks turn invisible, as do their melee and ranged weapons. They never use ranged weapons, and thankfully can attack (sometimes) with their invisible melee weapons.
