The editor has now been updated for the last version of the game.
Thank you to everyone who sent in their well wishes for my surgery, your support and positivity is always wonderful :) Everything went well with the operation and I have now fully recovered without any further complications.
I hope everyone has a wonderful christmas and new year in the upcoming weeks, and enjoy State of Decay 2 as well as time with your friends and family :D
hi for linux it has a fix path for folder so move your save to and from and it will work. move Steam folder from 'SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/495420/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/StateOfDecay2/Saved/' to '.wine/drive_c/users/"user name"/AppData/Local/StateOfDecay2/Saved/' and run CommunityEditor.exe with wine. after move steam folder back.
for Steam Deck find 'AppData/Local/StateOfDecay2/Saved/' and move it there.
i followed the steps in the description but it still wont work, and i cant seem to save it. i exit the thing and it asks to save, but then i click save and it still wont work, can someone explain to me in very good details on how to do this? and yes my game is updated to the most recent version. please and thank you.
(Narrator: whenever someone says "try verifying files" it means they have no earthly clue how to help you but still want to talk at you about things 'n stuff because of course they do.)
I may be wrong, and I'm not an expert programmer or anything, but my guess is this is what happens when you don't follow the KISS acronym (keep it simple, Sartre).
As a comparison, the developer menu that is years old without an update (my version is, anyway), still works beautifully with current versions of the game.
This mod, which most people want merely to do simple things like change traits and stuff, fails every time a developer sneezes in the game's general direction.
Where exactly does the editor expect the saved files to be? When I run it, I get a "no saves detected" message, and the app doesn't let me tell it where they are. Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have a question. Though it's possible to change a leader type via CE, there is one particular issue I've come across. Each leader type gains a morale bonus from its corresponded facility, e.g., warlord likes the workshop, trader likes the garden, etc. So I changed my guy from a builder to a warlord with all the corresponded debug traits, however, despite him being a warlord, he still "likes the watchtower". Is there any way to fix this? UPD: nevermind, figured out myself & fixed it.
