I'm trying to choose between your mod, and killeraltair's short nights, because night time in the game is simply not enjoyable. Yeah, the zombies don't see as well, but I can't see either!
Can I get some clarifications on these mods? Both mod descriptions leave much to interpretation. I'll be posting this question in both forums.
The vanilla game's 24 hour clock is 2 hours in real time. Do these mods incidentally fudge the clock by making one in-game day "shorter," or is daytime extended to make up the difference and maintain that 2h : 24h clock?
I feel like out of 120 minutes of real time, in-game night should be only 10 minutes, leave dawn and dusk untouched, and fill in the gap with even more daytime.
Half a day in-game time is 45 minutes in reality. A 24-hour day in-game corresponds to 90 minutes, which means that 1 hour corresponds to 3.75 minutes. The hours of darkness are approximately 7pm to 5am. Try : AdjustVisualDayCurve
Not sure why, but this mod isn't working for me, in fact I feel it's doing the opposite of what it should, making the night last longer than day, I've tried the short night version, I used the mod manager by KaiHeilos to install it, placed it at the begining of my load order and then at the end, nothing worked, the mod manager isn't showing any mod conflicts.
Considering that the last update was in 06 December 2021, it's safe to say this is an abandoned mod, which is unfortunate, as this is/was an essential must have. Was a perfect balance with just slightly shorter nights, unlike some mods that make nights last only a few minutes, which kinda kills immersion and night-time scariness.
for some reason i just cant get the eternal night to work. the daytime is just as long as normal. i even try to use dev menu to set it to night. but then the night is so short before it turned to daytime again. can you maybe check the eternal night mod again? Thanks
edit: wops sorry my fault. i found out that it conflicts with my other mods. its working now. thanks :)
Any chance creating mod that would have day/night cycle in like 5 minutes total? There is an achievement for surviving 100 days, for that it whould be extra usefull.
But - this is maybe a silly question - does it disable achievements by chance? I'm using the "somewhat realistic cars" mod and this one (shorter nights). And for whatever reason i wasn't able to unlock them (for example the one for "Destroy 5 plague hearts" or "Destroy 1 plagueheart during the night").
I removed both mods, then put the one with the cars back and now they're working again. But i haven't put your mod back on yet, but would really like to.

Night is about 33 to 35 minutes and Day is about 55 to 57 minutes.
