Not sure what you changed in this mod but silencers are useless now. They completely reduce the range on all weapons down to almost 0, so sniper bolt action rifles do not damage at 10 feet away. Basically you do better with Melee.
This is not even close to how a silencer works if you are trying to add a bit of realistic values this is all wrong. While a bullet does not gain any speed between the muzzle and the exit of a silencer the travel is too short to dramatically reduce speed. The accuracy actually increases with a silencer since most of the gases that exit behind the bullet once it leaves the muzzle it reduced so as to not cause the bullet to veer off bore axis.
Well if you want to get realistic, in real life for a weapon suppressor to work properly and not blow up in your face, you NEED to use subsonic ammunition, subsonic ammo by nature has less gun powder to reduce gas pressure in the chamber therefore reducing bullet speed, less bullet speed equals less range and penetration, in another words, in real life a weapon suppressor does reduce the damage and range of a weapons.
Dan suppressors IRL do actually increase velocity. It isn't much, but it does exist. I've tested it multiple times on both bolt actions and AR's with my reloads and factory ammo using my chrono.
@FIREBLADE223 You do not NEED to use subsonic with suppressors, they will not 'blow up in your face' with supersonic/standard ammo, even hot rounds. All the subsonic rounds do is not break the soundbarrier, reducing the 'snap' sound signature of your round as it flies downrange. Suppressors DO in fact add a small velocity increase due to increased barrel-dwell time of the round, and accuracy as described by gunsmithdan. Range change is negligible and depends more on bullet weight and firearm itself. Any game or mod that nerfs range/accuracy due to a suppressor isn't just being 'unrealistic' it's being silly.

edit: the only firearms i've seen blow up, or catastrophically fail, are from reloads and hairline cracks in the slide/frame. Generally revolvers with thin topstraps and hot rounds, or old shotguns and rifles with modern ammo.. i've cleaned up my share of fingers n eyebits.
PROTIP: NEVER fire ANY reload that you did not reload yourself, no matter how much you trust the person.
Or you can put a hole in the silencer/destroy baffles if it isn't aligned properly. Seen that a few times. Not fun losing your 1k year wait silencer because you didn't make sure it lined up with an alignment rod.

Hey HydraVampireEmpress, is it possible for you to make them being craftable at workshops? Maybe replace the homemade type suppressors entirely? Or maybe add another category for them while retaining the homemade suppressors? Either choice works, up to you really but I'd really like this option to crafting them because finding a good suppressor is just a PITA in Lethal. Heck, finding resources is actually much easier instead of Lethal saying that resources are very scarce.
works well, works as intended, but to op for my tastes. was looking for a mod that removes range penalty for suppressors (why do devs do this, it's a moronic mechanic IMHO).
because in real life guns that has suppress really makes the distance more short... that`s why remember some devs still trying to make a game realistic as they can... haha
That's actually not true, like at all, it actually improves the power and accuracy a bit because it adds extra length to the barrel. The only downside to suppressors is the extra length, which depending on the weapon and the suppressor can be quite a lot, making it a bit harder to use in CQC.
it depends on whether your using subsonic or supersonic munitions, subsonic will have a drastically shorter distance, it's why suppressors really don't make most guns that much quieter if you use super sonic munitions.

If not difficult - please make a bonus to the accuracy of the choke below; shotguns with this turn into snipers gun
