The mod is now out of beta. All known bugs are fixed. All characters have custom appearances.
This mod is intended to be used with Evolution Mod for Breakdown by Afetogbo, and as such is fully compatible with that mod compilation. Install all of this mod's files over the Evolution files if asked, as these files contain all changes from Evolution. This mod can also be used without Evolution.
Just looked into that, but I'm not sure how to fix it because the characters.xml is correct. It seems to be a character select bug, in that if you choose Wichita to start a new game it gives your Carl instead, and if you choose to start as Carl it gives you Carl, but with Rick's weapons. Weirdness, might have something to do with the new patch. I'm not sure yet if I need to update the characters.xml for that yet, haven't looked into it yet. Been focused on unlocking everybody and getting appearances where I want them. Hopefully this is just a selection screen bug and Wichita will show up normally during gameplay.

Ok thanks, apparently the new patch has a new journal.dds, so I'll have have to remake that. I myself haven't updated to the new patch yet because I didn't want to get rid of the mods I use and I don't know if they need updated or not yet. If someone could upload the new class3_journal_i1a.dds file so I can download it, I'll fix this issue.
So far, I only show two characters in my Breakdown game. In the character selection screen I have Andrea and Shane. But Andrea doesn't have a face, just some weird hair graphic.
Like this mod,but because of Lifeline dlc ALL icons (charasters,items,wearons and etc.) in my game have been changed. Are you going to fix it? Sory for my bad english if it's bad)
I've added a journal post-Lifeline patch. It should fix the UI issues. Let me know if there's any problems with it, as I haven't tested it beyond the character selection screen, been playing other games.
Are certain characters set to start with melee/tactical specializations? For instance, Rick starts with edge weapons lvl4, Abrahham with blunt lvl 4, etc?
If it's not just me, is there a way I can change that?
Could you help me, my everything works as it should, but when I start playing so only my character and Ana remain from the Walking Dead series. I have tried to just add Daryl but it didnt work where do I put files to add only Daryl and does he replace Ed he looked normal in both Story and Breakdown
hey guys umm my current pics on the part where u get to choose heroes is still the same but with the overhauled character names and weapons, when i start the game it turns out to be alright but my problem is that the pictures arent correctly shown in the choose a hero menu so how do i fix that? also the start up menu is kind of messed for breakdown and lifeline. so my question are: 1. how do i get the overhaul pics to work? 2. how to fix the messed up menu where icons on the breakdown and lifeline DLCs?

I think the skills are a bit messed up in this mod. I have not unlocked all of the heroes yet, but Angela starts out with a pistol yet she has a high revolver-skill? Same for Morgan Jones who is described as a sniper but his ranged skill is shotgun?
How about a mod for the resident evil characters for breakdown, leon kennedy, chris, claire redfield, ada wong, wesker, jill etc.. does it spark ur modding talents? either on it's own or to work together with the walkin dead cast, perheaps replacing the "less popular" characters?

Once I install the mod, nothing happens. Nothing changes. So I re-install the mod, overwriting the previous install, and this happens.

Does it work with Year One?
and does it only change the characters you can choose at the start of breakdown or does it also change the "random dudes" in the gameworld?
