Saw your post on the official forum recently. From the back of my head you said something about a possible model bug (clipping error) with the standard soldier model elbow pad or so, and that this would've been fixed in the DLC version. Which would require that. At least that's what I recall from the back of my head.
Erm, in short: Will there be a version for regular singleplayer which considers if you have the DLC active, if the regular model is still buggy? Instead of "Regular model for regular SP ->OR<- DLC version for DLC only, you'd basically have "DLC model in regular singleplayer".
Or will that be the case if you have it? Dunno how you code it
It could be done for singleplayer using the dlc assets I imagine but if you don`t have the dlc the game will crash. In the singleplayer game the soldiers arms have holes in them and you can see through the arms. I just tried using the singleplayer models again to see if the dlc would have updated them but it didn`t. I tried Erik Tans model and a different soldier model and they both still have the holes in the arms. I will send a pm to undead labs and ask them if its ok that I use the assets from dlc for this mod for the singleplayer game. I could just extract and rename the dlc assets to the singleplayer ones and have the character file use those. I can`t make any promises though. I will keep you guys posted in the forum on it. Hopefully they allow me to do it.
I sent UL a pm and one of the mods got back to me and said they would look into it. I haven`t heard anything since. Since the updated model comes with breakdown and is in the dlc pak I am going to say it probably isn`t going to happen. I could just do it anyway but I have been a member of this site for a lot of years and don`t want to run the risk of my account getting banned.
