YOSE Walking Dead Breakdown Group

This mod is for State of Decay Year One Survival Edition (YOSE) Breakdown games only.


This mod creates a group of 6 custom survivors based on the Walking Dead (Rick, Abraham, Michonne, Glenn, Maggie and Carol) that you always start the
game with. If you start on level 1, the 6 will be added to your group (which is currently at the Ranger Station with Lily.) If you start on levels
2 or higher, the 6 will be with you at the RV. All should have maxed out trust so you can start playing them right away if you want.

Since the survivors are based on Walking Dead characters, they are more advanced than the average survivor, typically with better weapons.

1) Rick Grimes: comes with maxed out fighting and shooting, leadership skills, and both powerhouse and reflex skills.
2) Glenn Rhee: comes with maxed out wits and fighting, reflexes and counseling expertise.
3) Maggie Greene: comes with a headstat in some of the stats, but also medical and plant expertise.
4) Michonne: comes with max fighting and cardio skills, edged specialization, fitness and research skills.
5) Abraham Ford: comes with a new type of axe, powerhouse, fast hands, and construction skills.
6) Carol Peletier, comes with maxed out cardio, wits, fighting and shooting, demolition and cooking skills, and a special Assault Rifle/Grenade launcher.

NOTE: Some of the portraits (that you'd see in the menu) for the new survivors are similar/the same as some old heroes (like Michonne's portrait is the
same as Sam's portrait). This is simply because there's only so many ways to customize portraits. I'll eventually try to make new portraits for
everyone, but for now, this works.

REQUIREMENTS:

Since this involves custom characters, you must install my "YOSE more survivors" mod so that the game can find the characters. It doesn't matter whether you choose
to have them just added to the pool or set as heroes, just as long as you have one of the recent "YOSE more survivor" mods added to your game.

Compatibility:
-This will only work for State of Decay YOSE for Breakdown games

-This mod is compatible with other mods that don't change the characters file.

-You will need to start a new game.

Installation:

To install:

1. Make sure you have my "YOSE more survivors" mod installed so that the new characters are there. It needs to be the recent mod that includes the Walking Dead survivors.


2. Download and extract the folder "YOSE Walking Dead Breakdown Group" onto the desktop.

3. Open the folder "YOSE Walking Dead Breakdown Group". It'll show a folder named "Game". This is the file you'll eventually drag and drop a copy of into the YOSE
State of Decay folder.

4. Locate your YOSE State of Decay folder. For me, it was found by opening up Program Files (x86), then Steam, then SteamApps, and then common. When you open up the
common folder, it'll show you all your Steam games, including a folder named "State of Decay YOSE".

4. Drop a copy of my "game" folder into the "State of Decay YOSE" folder you have open in the common folder. It'll ask whether you want to merge my game folder with
State of Decay YOSE's game folder--click yes. Then, depending on whether you already have mods or not, it'll ask if you want to replace certain files--say yes. If
it asks if you want to copy and replace a file, say yes.

5. Start a new game and then check the menu to see if the new survivors are there. If so, you installed correctly. Enjoy! If they aren't there, check to make sure
you have my "YOSE more survivors" mod downloaded and successfully installed (and that it was the recent one that includes the new Walking Dead survivors). Test
to make sure that installed correctly. Then make sure that you installed this mod to the correct layout. The key is the game needs the folder layout to be exact.

6. Enjoy!

To Uninstall:

To uninstall, you need to delete "rtsevents.win.bmd" from the rts folder (State of Decay YOSE/game/libs/class3.1/rts). So just go to your State of Decay YOSE folder,
open it, then Game, then libs, then class3.1, then rts, then delete rtsevents.win.bmd.
