I see here that it seems nothing was changed in the XMl ? The Speeds were the same, unless i skipped something, As an author can you direct me where you changed the XML? It's fine if you don't due to the fact of "Magicians never share their Secrets" And this is your work. But i'm just trying to spit ball here.
Unfortunately does not seem to be compatible with Realistic Rucks in Trucks mod. In fact, after loading this mod, my trunk space disappeared altogether.
It started doing that for me with and without the mod installed. I no longer have the game installed so I can't actually fix it but anyone is free to edit and re-release my files at their leisure.
I haven't edited anything but car property files so I can't really see how this crash should have anything to do with that. It might be a mod incompability issue somehow but honestly I have no idea. It doesn't seem to affect everyone as a few friends of mine is using this mod and have been since release and have no issues at all.
You said you changed the 'stiffness'... do you really notice a difference? I played with that value a lot but never really got anywhere with it. Do you know exactly how it works or what the unit is?
As for deceleration, I run -2 on slow vehicles and up to -5 on the high end exotic. If you go lower than -5 you start to actually get acceleration from a slow roll.
You've found the "wrong" setting. Down near the <handling> section there is one located that doesn't appear to do anything, but further up there is one section for each wheel. That stiffness setting has massive effect.
The stock setting for stiffness was 0.0 for all cars except the Rally Hatchback for some reason. I suspect that UL didn't really fully finish this part of the game or that they left it as is since they limited the car speeds at ridicolously low so it wouldn't really impact the handling on most cars. It looks weird though and it feels like driving around in first gear with home-made hydraulics
The one for each wheel is the one I played with. when set to 0 (default) it is 'auto-calculated based on the suspension max length' to whatever secret formula. Looks like you used a value between 0-1... I was trying larger values, 30,60,300 to little to no effect. Do you find it stiffer with smaller numbers, eg .01? I'm thinking it might be more of an autocalc stiffens based on this value for max length, so less suspension travel auto calculates a stiffer suspension.
Obviously reducing the max length stiffens things a little too, but has other effects.
I tried to change suspension length at first, but that was a huge mistake. Setting the stiffness between 0.15 to 0.5 changes things a lot. At 0.5 the car's suspension is very rigid. If you put numbers like 30 you probably went too far over scale and made the game register it as 0 or something.
Try one of my muscle cars and see the difference. It's really no point in you arguing it does nothing when it clearly does.
However, I probably won't continue working on this mod at all because I've gotten problems running the game. For some reason it's crashing the second I get down from the tutorial area right before the gas station and nothing I do seems to fix it. It was fun for a while but modding is a disease that kills games so I might as well accept the inevitable.
Nice work. Some cars still need some tweaks in my humble opinion (the "Old-School Muscle" in exemple, behave weirdly) but with a lot of them, it's just change everything. Special thanks for the modern Sedan. It's just so perfect ! Endorsed btw. Now I just would love some tweak to make me loose control of my car when I drive it trough a hord. Right now it's just a joke =) But i don't know if it's even possible.
The latest version has the muscle car's handling vastly increased but it's left rather poor on purpose because I have had the pleasure of owning a few such cars and they'are actually only roadworthy when driving straight forward and even then you have to tweak the steering wheel to actually keep it driving straight forward. When you drive slower, it will become much easier to handle, just like in real life.
I could try to make it unrealistically good though if you really, really want.
Nice tweaks ! Would you know what parameter(s) to change to reduce severely the natural deceleration of the cars when you let them go by themselves (no acceleration, no brake)? Playing with a keyboard offers no finesse on the pedal...
I tried setting decelleration to -1 but I think I need to lower it even more. I simply forgot to tweak it further. I'll look into it until the next release.

Could you replace that, please?
I'm not playing this game anymore and the mod is not being developed further.
How to fix that?
That being said, I don't play the game anymore and the mod is not being developed further.

Thanks for the Endorse and feedback
Search for "stiffness" and you will find one for each wheel. It's currently set to "0.1" for family cars but it should have been "0.2" I've noticed.
Station wagon - usboatcar_wagon.xml
The other file names are quite self explanatory.
