Doesn't work for me, there's no INI to add into Reshade when I download the file. Can you possibly give me a step by step on how install? Thanks!

This is a reshade with sweetfx, it doesn't work with the standalone reshade. It operates off of the sweetfx.
You can use upto reshade version 3.0 from the old repository, if loaded over top, but after they were separated and don't work together after that.

Edit: Tried rename dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll but not fixed again. Its still giving crash dump error.

What other mods are you using?
      QMJS?
Also this is a dx9 game, when you rename the dxgi, you wanna rename it to d3d9.dll, d3d11.dll won't be recognized by the game.

Can you also post the crash dump info.

Hi all I'm completely stumped on the installation. I start the game and it gives me a crash dump error, tried googling it and nothing comes up.
I tried to follow the stops as best as i could I updated drivers i ran the dxsetup in the commonredist folder and not working. I'm thinking turning on dsr is what is screwing it up, well because dsr is simply not in my control panel for some reason.... Any help?
Im running windows 10 I can play pre much most modern games on decent high graphics with good fps
and ive been trying to instal the shader not enb

edit: It appears instructions here are not one size fits all
im using shader not enb and to get the crash dump error on startup to go away and let me play the game all i had to do was rename
dxgi.dll to dxd11.dll and damn it works but new problem is that the game play sin a really really tiny window mode so now thats the next prob im trying to fix if any suggestions?

      Hi,
I believe it's alt-enter to resize the screen.
You can switch between the d3d9.dll's to see if one of them corrects the size for you.
You need to rename the dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll when using win10, so you're good there.

As far as DSR that's not available to all nvidia's, some don't have the function.

Also if you have any further issues the reshade and sweetfx version is newer and sometimes works better with some hardware. Although if you switch between the two, don't cross files. Make sure the one is completely removed before using the other.
And that one you shouldn't need to rename any files.

Let me know how that works and I'll chat at you then.

i used enb version for my SoD YOSE but it's not working (needs dx11 and saved dump file error). Althought i rename dxig.dll file and copy one of the four from altd3d9 folder. So i used reshade version and renamed d3d9.dll to d3d11.dll. it's worked. Just let you know it and i want to know what is different between your enb and reshade version IN GAME?

P/s: english is not my main language so sorry about that :) oh btw i'm win10 user

      Hi,

The reshade and the enb with sweetfx versions are basically the same as far as settings.
The reshade version though, is newer, using the 2.0 settings, whereas the enb one uses the 1.5.
The reshade because it's version 2 will support more settings.
Reshade tends to be a bit more compatible with newer hardware too.

Normally don't need to rename the d3d9.dll for the reshade one.
With the ENB you would rename just the dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll and leave the name of the d3d9.dll as it is.

If it's all working fine now, you should be good to go.
Just let me know if there is anything else.

yup i did what you said in your reply, with enb version i rename dxgi.dll but it's not work so i rename d3d9.dll and it gave me a DX11 required error. I tried with reshade one, i did not do anything just drag these files in container to my game path (delete enb version, of course), nothing happen, so i rename d3d9.dll to d3d11.dll and it's work! Thank for your reply, just let you know about it, finally it's a great mod :)

      Hi,
I just recently updated to win10 so I gave it a try. It seemed to work with the add-ons but the game itself now runs in a windowed mode.
I tried it by itself, without the add-ons and it's a windowed mode also. They must have altered the game recently. I'm going to start going through these to check them.
      Edit:
So far the other games seem to be fine, just SOD that has an issue.
      Wonder what they changed.
I've gone through several games now and it's only SOD that's acting up, weird.
I'll see what I can do.

Ok figured out how to run it in proper fullscreen, use the gamecompanion https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42956/
Add StateOfDecay.exe to the games list (left side)
Under resolution check the Change reolution on FFMode (put at screen res 1920x1080)
Second to wait set to 1 to 4.
Under options set to run at windows start-up
And just run it in the background.

      Hi,
For the new version, you don't need to rename anything.
Just place the files, don't rename any, then run the update as directed and it should be fine. I ran a full setup and test on my win10 and it should just be place and play, then update.

it's strange i did just like you said I placed the files, run the update as directed but it's still warned me a DX11 require error. I rename dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll and it's work. At least, it's work and no more error in game :) . You're so kind for listening my complain, i appriciate that

No worries. Not sure why it wants the rename with yours but if it works with the renamed file that should be fine.

One thing, you do need to install the dx9 june2010 release to add those dx files to win10. If you don't have it you can get it here
      https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=8109
It won't downgrade your win10 directx, but rather add extra library files that are needed for these setups.
You want to download and run it, tell it to extract to C:\DX
After it extracts, goto the c drive and find the dx folder, run the dxsetup there and it should add the files for you.
That will make your win10 compatible with the enb and reshade setups.

    WIN10

I scrolled through the posts, did not see a solution for my issue, but I found it myself.

Was also experiencing the CryEngine needs dx11 error.

In the description it tells us to rename the dxgi.dll file, in the posts here, people say to rename the d3d9.dll file.

I renamed those files several times to no avail, it was only after I renamed the dxgi.dll file to *.dll.old(without renaming d3d9.dll), the game started up without issues.

    [EDIT]:
I did a small test and renamed the dxgi.dll file to d3d9.dll and the original d3d9.dll to whatever, yet this gave me an unsupported gfx card error.
    Probably as expected.

Normally you just need to rename the dxgi.dll if you are on win10. If you are on win7 or 8 don't rename it.
For that card you'd want to switch out the d3d9.dll with the altd3d9 blackmesa.

Or use the reshade and sweetfx version.
That one you don't need to rename anything it's fully win10 compatible.
You can get that one here http://www.moddb.com/games/state-of-decay/addons/reshade-and-sweetfx-for-state-of-decay-yose

I'm having the dx11 error. I changed the name os the dll file and it still happens. I have a gtx1080ti with the newest drivers, so that's not the issue. I'm out of ideas here. Can you help a brother out?

      Hi,

The 1080's seem to have an issue with the ENB's. First I would switch to the reshade version and see if that corrects the issue.
Also is it a pinpoint error for dx11 or another error, like the one below?
With the number of people having the below issue it looks more to be a win update issue, although I havn't heard back to see if my outline below helped correct it.
But seeing as you have a 1080, with my other enb's, users had to switch over to the reshade ones, and I expect that would be the same with this one. The links right at the top of the description, it is also a place and play. Just remove the files from the enb version first, don't delete the dx compiler file though, that belongs in the game folder. The reshade is also using a newer sweetfx and dx files and will allow for hotkeys to function, whereas the enb has to have manual alterations. Just check the sweetFX docs for the hotkeys.
I'll check abit more into the 1080s but so far 1070 and down seems fine, not sure what's different with the 1080s tho.

Switch out the files and tell me if that corrects the error.

      This may also help https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/179113/how-to-install-the-latest-version-of-directx

same here on a 1080. it says dx11 required. before and after i rename the file if that helps. also should note that this only comes up with the enb and sweetfx files placed in the folder. Also i cant get the reshade version to work either, that one just gets a crash message. this should be the dump files. one for enb and one for reshade version.

The reshade and sweetfx version shoild work on the 1080. You want to make sure that all previous enb and sweetfx files are removed first. Then run that one from outside the gamefolder. It should then install without any errors and work properly.

I downloaded and installed the final dx9 and renamed the dxgi file. I also used the newest files from moddb and put them into the root of SoDYOSE.
Any idea what to do next?

    Thanks.

      Hi,

The reshade version from Moddb, you need to remove any previous files, then place those ones after (do not remove the D3 compiler file that's a game file.) If you mix them you will recieve an install or a start error.
The error you're referring to though seems to actually be a game error https://forums.undeadlabs.com/threads/yose-steam-edition-dx11-required-error.48103/ and https://forums.undeadlabs.com/threads/bug-error-msg.48219/

Some have corrected it by rolling back the drivers or updating to the newest. But it seems to be graphics card related. I saw that some removed the drivers completely, reloaded them then installed the DX9 final release after and it was corrected, but it seems an issue that spans over a large area of cards. I'll look over the notes here but it seems to effect Nvidia as well as ATI when it comes to this issue.

The DXGI name change corrects the pinpoint error, but the one you are referring to is corrected differently. In one case it was the way the monitor was attached, once switched off the usb and run properly through a vga connection his problem went away.
Check the notes from the undead labs link and see if you can correct it as outlined there.

One thing they mentioned, if on win10, run the windows update as some updates have caused these issues also and a newer windows update may correct it.

Use this program to completely uninstall any old drivers and files first then reload your driver fresh.
      http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html
Download the graphics driver to your desktop first before running the uninstaller and after you restart, install the new graphics driver.

Try disabling smaa, that can sometimes darken the game and check the HDR settings to adjust brightness and saturation. Match them with the ENB version settings as the two use slightly different setup and some cards act differently with certain AA settings.

no if the enb version works fine, just use that. But if you are a Win10 user who get's the d3d11 error then you would need to use the reshade version. You would just alter the settings file depending on the one you're using if it appears dark or using dsr or vsr with it. Althought this game runs funny past 1920x1080 so I usually leave it at that with my DSR enabled. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the dx compiler file they use in the game.
Also smaa can cause a variation in the color for some, so you need to disable it in some cases in the setting file to correct the color.

May I have your operating system please.
Normally you just want to place it in the game folder, for both games. In the original edition you do see the ENB text, however in YOSE you don't because of the overlay they use for the start up. You just need to push shift f12 and that should enable and disable it. (Remap the steam f12 printscreen button in your steam properties)
Or printscreen and check the game folder for the bmp it generates, or set the preset file in sweetfx to splitscreen to make sure it's all good.
If you do not get it to come up or the game crashes, then switch the d3d9.dll out with an alternate ENB launcher from the alternate libray files. (The ullauncher error and the crash dumps in the DLC are a DLC problem they still havn't fixed in the game and no mod fixes that unfortunately)
I cannot say if the newest video drivers for win10 now work with the DXGI files but if you are on win10, you can try placing them (make sure you have the newest video driver) then see if you recieve a dx12 error, if not then it should work and means microsoft finally figured out the dx problem.
Let me know if that helps.
