Excuse Me, How To Use This? Suddenly, I Put The Created File (characters_rand.xml) And Nothing Coming Out (the characters.win.bmd) And I Don't Know Where Did I Put The Charrand.py?
I'm sure I'm just a computard, but when I try running the program it flashes on then off. Doesn't give me the time to do anything at all. What am I doing wrong?
I'll assume you are talking about the .exe version.
To get it to work, first, you'll need a characters.xml in the same folder as the executable. Run the executable and it should create a file called characters_rand.xml. Pump that through the XML2BMD converter and rename the output to characters.win.bmd and put it in the appropriate game/lib/class 3.x/rts folder.
Now if you did put characters.xml in the folder with it, and it's not working, then I'm not entirely sure what went wrong. You can try opening a command prompt and running it from there to see if it's kicking up an error.
Sorry about forgetting the instructions for the .exe, I just now realized that I forgot to copy in the Readme.txt file into the executable version. I'll make sure it's included with the next version.
I'll also work on putting a tutorial on using it in the description. It's bedtime here right now so I'll tackle it in the morning.
